Who said there is no life hereafter....?
Dead man sends song to 2004 Danish final
Six months after passing away, Danish Tommy Seebach might do it again. Win a Danish national selection, that is. Before his death he had written a song with Torben Lundgren, which is now one of the 315 songs submitted for the Dansk Melodi Grand Prix 2004, next year\'s Danish final.
Already when alive, Tommy Seebach set a record by entering the Danish finals all in all seven times (and on top of it winning three of them!), but now he might set an even more unusal record if his co-penned song is selected for the 2004 Danish final, and wins.
Tommy Seebach is a legend in the Danish Eurovision history. In 1979 he performed Disco tango at the Eurovision Song Contest and ended up 6th. In 1981 he represented Denmark with Krøller eller ej (Curly hair or not), together with Debbie Cameron, and ended up 11th.
In 1993 he sang Under stjernerne på himlen (Under a starlit sky) at the Eurovision stage and reached a mere 22nd place, Denmark\'s second worst result.
Tommy Seebach also took part in the 1982, 1984, 1985 and 1987 Danish preselections with the songs Hip hurra, det\' min fødselsdag (Hooray, it\'s my birthday), Pyjamas for to (Pyjamas for two), Det\' dét jeg altid har sagt (That\'s what I\'ve always said) and Det\' gratis (It\'s for free) respectively.
Dansk Melodi Grand Prix 2004 is to be held on 7th February, 2004 at the Atletion arena in Århus, Eastern Midjutland.
