1.915.000 viewers in Flanders!
Belgian final most watched programme in years
Flemish broadcaster VRT scored massive success with Eurosong 2004. Not less than 1.915.000 Flemings watched the final last Sunday, making it the most watched TV programme in Flanders in many years!
That Eurosong is a success story in Flanders is no secret anymore. The apotheosis has been reached last Sunday. 1.915.000 Flemings, almost one third of the Flemish population, watched the final of Eurosong 2004 resulting in a market share of 65,3%. Still 1.751.000 people stayed tuned for part two and saw Xandee winning, good for 75,1% market share!
With these great results, the final of Eurosong 2004 is the most watched TV programme in Flanders since 2000 when two football matches of Euro 2000 reached some thousands of viewers more.
The Eurosong 2004 mania certainly isn't over yet. Many of the songs have been released on single last Monday. The run to the top of the charts can begin!
