Fear of qualifier round
'Russia, Poland and France refuse qualifier broadcast'
Reliable sources told esctoday.com that the semifinal of the Eurovision Song Contest on 12th May won't be shown throughout the whole of Europe. Russia, Poland and France are not interested and won't broadcast!
France 3 will not broadcast the semifinal of the Eurovision Song Contest, at least not live. This is due to several reasons:
- France does not participate in this round of the Eurovision Song Contest.
- Two contests in one week would confuse the French audience.
- The fear of low TV ratings.
Furthermore, our sources told us that neither Russia or Poland will broadcast the qualifier round of the Eurovision Song Contest on 12th May.
Esctoday.com has contacted the broadcasters concerned for a reaction. We'll keep you up to date as soon we have more information.
