Netherlands 1969 - De Troubadour

Lenny Kuhr presented new album in Brussels

Lenny Kuhr, one of the four winners of the Eurovision Song Contest 1969, presented her new album in Brussels today. Op de grens van jou en mij (On the edge of you and me) is an autobiographical album and is now available in Belgium.
The 1969 Dutch Eurovision Song Contest winner Lenny Kuhr presented her new album this morning at the Marconi Studio of Flemish broadcaster VRT in Brussels. The album, entitled Op de grens van jou en mij makes her feel like reborn. In 1993 Lenny Kuhr suddenly faced terrible voice problems. "I'm a singer in my heart and in my soul and it is really like a feast when you can sing again after you have been suffering for so many years." The album is the result of the desire to find back the roots of her music. After the album release, Lenny Kuhr hopes she will be able to tour in Belgium with a theatre show in 2005. 35 years after her victory Lenny Kuhr considers De Troubadour, her winning Eurovision song, as a song that has been following her during her whole career. If the song made her a troubadour... "I think I already was a troubadour when I went to the Eurovision Song Contest."
