Catherine Ferry searches record company

Former French Eurovision participant Catherine Ferry has recorded a "Best of" album. She now searches a record company to publish it.
Catherine Ferry participated for France in the Eurovision Song Contest in 1976 in the Hague. With her song Un, deux, trois, she reached the second place. The song is still, comparatively speaking, the best scoring, non-winning Eurovision Song Contest-entry. In 1989, Catherine decided to end her career and focus on the raising of her child. Now that her child is almost 15 years old, she is working on a come-back, Catherine told in an interview on Mona FM, a big radio station in the North of France. Previously she released a single, Rien que toi et moi (Nothing else but you and me), now the recording of a "Best of" album is finished. The only problem is that she hasn't found a record company to publish it yet.

By the way....Switzerland, instead of resorting to English should choose French like Kathy in 96 or Italian like Jane in 2000....why English?

Franck Thomas... this name reminds me of a song writter who used to work together with Patrick Juvet , swizerland performer in 1973, and international succesfull singer in the 70s ( La Musica , I love America , Lady Night , ou sont les femmes...) and still well known in France :))

I agree about French language songs in the Eurovision: more of that, please! Except for "Un, deux, trois", has Catherine Ferry had many hits in France in the 70s and early 80s? I wonder if her album is worth buying, when it comes out that is. Franck Thomas, what do you think?

I love "Un, deux, trois" - Probably the best song of the 70's, or at lesat one of them.

Thank you Jason :)
But the French speaking entry from Switzerland in 1996 had a nice melody, but the text was really bad, a kind of
"I loved him but I let him go bouhouhouhouhou"....
well not serious ! this is Eurovision lol

But Katy Leander was a nice person, I loved her postcard when she made the coucou at the windows of the typical house ... very good sense of humour /)

This was one of the best French entries and unique in being a pop style as I think most French entries were ballads - including the song that won the next year for them.

Its such a pity that 1977 was the last French win - the French entries in 1991, 2001 and 2002 were by far the best in the competition and they should have won. The French language is such a beautiful language to sing in - the Swiss entry is 1996 was one of the best entries but it came in the bottom 10 :(

Yes that year the winner (save your kisses for me) and the runner up (un, deux, trois) was the best scoring, whent taking into account the number of participants (18 in 1976).
Katrina and the waves approached the record made by brotherhood of man, but the winner of 1976 is still the best scoring entry.

What is the "best scoring, non-winning" argument based on? Plain point-wise there are a two-figure amount of better scores in the history, recently from almost every year. So probably it's a statement relative to the number of entries?

It is a problem in France with the record company. If the artist doesn't come from Star Academy (French Idols) he or she couldn't expect any consideration.

By the way about the article rien que toi et moi should be translate as "Nothing else but you and me".

Dear Edwin !
Just a little remark about Catherine Ferry's new song.
Rien que toi et moi means "only you and me" and not "nothing like you and me".
Hope it helps !
Thanks !
