Spanish Son de Sol to shine in Kiev

Son de Sol has won the Spanish national final held last night. With the song Brujería they defeated Las supremas de Móstoles and Felipe Conde. Son de Sol will represent Spain in the final of the 2005 Eurovision Song Contest in Kiev.
These are the results of the Spanish national final 1 - 24.2% | Son de sol - Brujería 2 - 21.8% | Las supremas de Móstoles - Eres un enfermo 3 - 16.4% | Felipe Conde - Echo de menos • Yulia - Arriba el mundo • Lanco - Nada para ti, nada para mí • Enzo - Quién dirá Did not qualify for the final: • María Lorente - Vente pal sur • Jaster - Cómo olvidarte • A-Crew - El swatch • Katherina - Boca loca • Pierre N'Sue - Quizás mejor así • Gema Castaño - Santo Job The guest artists were Francisco, Marta Sánchez and Mexican singer Paulina Rubio. TVE also invited former singers which represented Spain in the past, such as Karina (Dublin 1971), Micky (Wembley 1977) and Azúcar Moreno (Zagreb 1990), who talked about their experiences at the Eurovision Song Contest. The show also previewed some of the songs already selected by other participating countries such as Denmark, Russia, Finland or Bulgaria. This year, TVE decided to invite the Eurovision fans from all over Spain as the studio audience of both shows. This year, the Spanish representative for Kiev has been selected through telephone voting and text messages only. Son de Sol, the Andalusian female trio from Sevila were the most voted among tonight's acts, followed by Las Supremas De Móstoles and Felilpe Conde. Son de Sol will represent Spain in the final of the upcoming Eurovision Song Contest on 21st May in Kiev.
