Jari Sillanpää to announce Finnish televote
Jari Sillanpää will announce the results of the Finnish televote during the final of this year's Eurovision Song Contest. Broadcaster YLE confirmed that.
Jari Sillanpää represented Finland last year with "Takes 2 to tango. With 51 points he ended up 14th in the semifinal.
Jari Sillanpää is one of the most successful performing artists in Finland. His success story began ten years ago, when he won the annual Tango Festival and was crowned as the Tango King. He has released eight albums, various singles, a documentary video and even two books have been written about him. All together he has recorded over 100 songs.
Jari has played one of the leading roles in Andrew Lloyd Webber’s musical Aspects of love in Seinäjoki City Theatre. He has won the Press Choice Award in the international song contest called The Golden Stag, which was held in Romania. Furthermore, he has achieved several Emma Awards (Finnish Grammies). Jari is touring all the time around Finland with his great orchestra and time after time the concert halls are sold out.
