New single out now

Wig Wam released live version 'Dschinghis khan'

Wig Wam released their new CD single Bless the night this week. Also featured on the single is Wig Wam’s live version of Dschinghis khan, the famous German Eurovision Song Contest entry from 1979. Earlier this week, Wig Wam got the opportunity to meet their idol, the famous rock-legend Alice Cooper. He gave Wig Wam the award for reaching the platinum status in Norway with their Eurovision Song Contest entry In my dreams.
Wig Wam’s live version of Dschinghis khan was performed in the Norwegian television show Memo this spring. The original version of Dschinghis khan ended 4th in the 1979 Eurovision Song Contest. After a few weeks of summer break, Wig Wam has just resumed their Rock Schläger Tour 2005. Last Tuesday and Wednesday Wig Wam was support act for Alice Cooper when he gave two concerts in Sweden. During a meeting backstage, Alice handed out the platinum award to the very surprised, but happy members of Wig Wam. "This is just awesome (...) I've heard so much about your band! You should really get over to America", Cooper said to the members of Wig Wam. Wig Wam's chart success in the Nordic countries continue. Currently, Wig Wam occupies a 4th spot in the Swedish chart Sommartoppen with In my dreams. With the release of the single Bless the night, Wig Wam has the opportunity to make a follow-up success on the charts, as well as continue their successful ‘flirt’ with the Eurovision Song Contest audience. The Wig Wam album Hard to be a rock'n roller is ready for international release. In Kyiv, Wig Wam was tipped as potential winner and finished 9th in the final of the 2005 Eurovision Song Contest.
