Contest wins Newropeans Grand Prix

Hosted by Dutch TV host Chazia Mourali, the 2005 Newropeans Grand Prixs were awarded to people and projects especially devoted to the European democratisation on 26th November in Amsterdam. The Eurovision Song Contest won!
With 73% of the votes, the Eurovision Song Contest and its 50th anniversary show Congratulations, which had been held in Copenhagen on 22nd October, were awarded a Grand Prix in the category Entertainment. Ruud Bierman, chairman of Netherlands Public Broadcasting (Publieke Omroep) and of the Eurovision Song Contest Reference Group, was present to receive the trophy.

Oh my God! If that was award winning entertainment i feel sorry for Europe. With a too few high lights that show was boring.
