National final on March 14th
Corneille will write the French entry
According to AFP, singer and composer Corneille will write the French song for the 2006 Eurovision Song Contest.
Corneille Nyungura (27) was born in Germany and raised in Rwanda. He left his country during the civil war and moved to Québec (Canada). He has released two albums, that sold well in French speaking countries. His first album was entitled Parce qu'on vient de loin, last year Les marchands de rêves was released, both as CD and DVD. In between he also released a live album.
On March 14th, the artist that will sing Corneille's song will be chosen. 21 artists will participate in the French national final.
