Junior Eurovision set for 2nd December
Romanian broadcaster TVR quietly revamped their mini-site, www.tvr.ro/jesc , dedicated to the Junior Eurovision Song Contest. Among other details, a date for the final of the 4th edition of the contest for young singers has been set.
Young singers from around Europe will take to the stage on the 2nd December 2006 to compete for the title of the 4th Junior Eurovision Song Contest winner, following in the footsteps of Kseniya Sitnik (Belarus), Maria Isabel (Spain) and Dino Jelusic (Croatia).
A general rehearsal has also been arranged for the 1st December, a special day for Romanian's as they celebrate their National Day.
Further details about the final are unknown. Several countries have confirmed continued participation, Portugal have confirmed their first appearence and further new countries have shown interest.
TVR have also publicised details about their selection process. Until 1st April, songs may be submitted TVR. They will then make a selection from these until 1st May. The final list will be released on 10th May. The national selection will be broadcast on 1st June on TVR1.
