EuroJoint: watch Eurovision 1989 online!
Today and tomorrow, you can watch the 1989 Eurovision Song Contest online at EurovIL. This feature is made possible thanks to the EuroJoint alliance, a cooperation between EurovIL, oikotimes.com and esctoday.com!
With Cyprus back in competition, there were 22 countries again. The French participant was 11 years old (almost 12), one of the Israelian representatives was 12 years old. It cannot be a surprise the EBU introduced the minimum-age rule one year later; a participant must at least turn 16 in the year of the respective contest. Céline Dion performed two songs, last year's winning song Ne partez pas sans moi and Where does my heart beat now, as interval act. Last mentioned became a worldwide hit three years later. It was a big surprise that Yugoslavia won with the simple song Rock me.
You can find the 1989 Eurovision Song Contest in the multimedia selection of our EuroJoint partner EurovIL. Enjoy the show!
