Luiz confident of final top ten
Confident Luiz added that the standard of competition this year is very high in his opinion, but he refused to be drawn on his own personal favourites "for ethical reasons".
He and his performers are indeed giving solid rehearsals in the arena at OAKA, and the presentation is much the same as the first rehearsal on Thursday. There still seemed to be occasional problems with sound levels, however, and Luiz did look uncomfortable at one point, removing his earpiece. The backing vocals seemed overpowering at times, particularly in the bridge sections between chorus and verse. It is now down to the semifinal dress rehearsals to make sure that everything is absolutely perfect for the big night.
Music, not politics
Just as with other competitors choosing to sing in a language other than English, Luiz was quizzed about the choice of Albanian for the entry. His reply won a round of applause from the press: "Music has no language. It's a feeling. You can express it in any way.". He continued "we make music, not politics. The world would be a better place if we all did the same."

Skam pare njeri me e mare kaq seriozisht punen e Luizit. Po pastaj se nuk fitoi. Kenga qe fitoi s'vlente 2 lek dhe pothuajse ghithe shtetet i dhane pike. Shqiptaret ne Greqi u ndjene krenar? Me fal, po cila pjese e Shqiptareve ne Greqi. Se duhet te merret vesh edhe niveli te pakten. Se tani, nuk diskutohet...nje pjese e madhe e emigranteve nga fshatet e malet sigurisht qe jane ndjere krenar, fundja nuk eshte se jane ekspozuar me ndonje repertor kushedi se c'fare gjate jetes se tyre. Mos kujton gje se Eurovisioni eshte Festivali i Kenges ku kendohet akoma me stativ dhe kengetari leviz kembet nje here ne mijvjecar? Eurovisioni bazohet ne performanca qe jane dinamike, kengetare me zera te fuqishem e te plote, perfeksionizem, koreografi te mahnitshme dhe unike.
Anjeza Shahini. Po, le te flasim rreth Anjeza Shahinit. E ke pare mire ti Anjezen se c'fare prezence magjike qe ka? Nje shikim i saj te deporton mes per mes edhe te del nga ana tjeter! Buzeqeshja e saj te ben per vete! Menyra se si leviz eshte elegante dhe e fuqishme ne te njejten kohe.
Anjezes nuk i duhet shume per t'a dominuar skenen, dhe kjo eshte cilesia e saj me e madhe! Sigurisht qe zeri gjithashtu e ka ndihmuar. Megjithate, prape e 7-ta doli. Pse?? Sepse Eurovisioni i ve SHUME rendesi performances! Sot ti mund t'a urresh nje kenge, ndersa me pas kur e shef me nje performance te fuqishme ne skene, ti e adhuron ate kenge!!
E c'fare kishte aq speciale performanca e Luizit? Gajden e vjetersuar apo rrobat e Gabit? Une nuk e di si je ne gjendje qe te krahasosh punen qe beri Luizi me te tjeret! Meqe paska qene aq i mire ky Luizi jot i dashur, po sikur te ishte gjithe Eurovisioni ashtu sic ishte Luizi.....ti kujton se do kishte dale ndonje konkurs i realizuar?? Une jam i sigurte qe Europa nuk do kishte konkuruar me ne ate konkurs nqs te gjithe kenget do ishin aq te "bukura" sa ajo e Luizit!

Pas resultateve te votimeve, u duk qarte pse Luiz Ejlli u skualifkua.
Ai ishte ne vend te 14-te, dhe kjo vetem fale pikeve te dhena nga shtetet e Ballkanit, ose nga shtetet me numer shume te madh Shqiptaresh. Perndryshe do kishte perfunduar ne fund fare. Kjo nuk eshte aspak arsye krenarie per te, sepse nqs dikush e meriton te fitoje...nuk rri e mbledh qindarkat se he kush po me jep 2 pike ketu e 5 pike atje, po pret qe te marre pike nga c'do cep i Europes. Po te jesh i forte, i merr piket nga te gjithe, jo vetem nga populli yt, qe do s'do, patriotizmi ja verbon syte dhe mergimi i ben te votojne pasi ndjejne mall.
Ja e zeme Bosnia & Herzegovina...kengen e kishte shume te bukur! Sigurisht, mori pike nga komshite...po mori pike edhe nga shume vende te tjera! Pse? Sepse ishte kenge klas! Pse nuk e beri dot Luizi kete gje, meqe e meritonte kaq shume??
Me ate konkurrence qe kishte kete vit, Luizi ishte i fundit fare! Ndersa kete vit, per sa i perket votimit te bere nga Shqiperia, mendova se votimi ishte mese i persosur. 8 Greqia, 10 Suedia, 12 Bosnia & Herzegovina...dhe faktikisht, jam i mendimit se ky duhet te ishte TOP 3 kete vit! Jo ato mostrat qe fituan!
Vitin tjeter, Shqiperia mos bej gabim te zgjedhi amatore ose njerez te ngathet, se do lene nam! Duhet nje kengetar me ze te fuqishem, por qe ne te njejten kohe di edhe se si te levize ne skene. Duhet plastike, duhet energji, duhet komunikim i persosur me kameren dhe publikun, duhet nje koreografi mbrese-lenese qe ne momentin e pare!!
Eurovision kete gje ka, qe ne momentin e pare duhet te lesh impresion te fuqishem. Finlanda kishte maskat, Rusia kishte gruan te pjano, Bosnia kishte kontrastin e skenes, Romania qe ne fillim ja plasi me HIIIIIIIIIIIIIII...dhe me pas refrenin ne Italisht "Tornero", Suedezja me fustanin sa gjithe skena dhe eren e fuqishme.
C'fare kishim ne? Nje burre me gajde, ca cuna te veshur me rroba pazari...nje ze pa ngjyre qe ne fillim te kenges. Hajde hajde! Ku ka me turp se kaq? Edhe te duash t'a kerkosh edhe nuk e gjen dot!
Shpresoj qe vitin tjeter, kenga per ne Eurovizion te mos perzgjidhet nga Festivali i Kenges, sepse ai festival ka marre fund!
