Interesting results!

BigPoll 2006: Bosnia & Herzegovina wins?

The computers did their jobs and here they are; the results of the 2006 Eurovision Song Contest BigPoll. Your votes have been counted and the results are highly interesting, with a close top-3, a high number of votes in the top-5 and a large amount of countries with only a few points. France, unfortunately, has been predicted to end up last with nil points.

Final Prediction

 1: [291 points] Bosnia & Herzegovina
 2: [287 points] Sweden
 3: [280 points] Greece
 4: [268 points] Romania
 5: [268 points] Russia
 6: [164 points] Finland
 7: [112 points] Ukraine
 8: [107 points] Germany
 9: [89 points] Norway
10: [61 points] FYR Macedonia
11: [53 points] Croatia
12: [30 points] Turkey
13: [24 points] Switzerland
14: [24 points] Malta
15: [13 points] Israel
16: [12 points] Lithuania
17: [12 points] Denmark
18: [12 points] Spain
19: [11 points] Armenia
20: [9 points] United Kingdom
21: [8 points] Ireland
22: [6 points] Moldova
23: [5 points] Latvia
24: [0 points] France

It should be mentioned that viewers from Serbia & Montenegro can vote, but did not enter the competition with a song. As the top-10 plus the Big4-countries qualify for next year’s final automatically, the first 11 countries are predicted to qualify.

A selected group of ‘premium predictors’, who did the best predictions last year, predicted the top-3 to look like this;

1: Bosnia & Herzegovina
2: Greece
3: Sweden
