Tinka scoops second at festival

Tinka Milinovic, one sixth of the Swiss entry at the Eurovision Song Contest 2006, continues to win acclaim across the Balkan region by scooping second place at the Serbian music festival Stari grad.

Held over two days from 22nd July, 30 international competitors assembled in Novi Pazar to perform in this year's festival, one of many musical events in a region famous for them. Tinka sang her song Nemam suza (No tears), and impressed judges enough to walk away with the runner-up prize of 2,000 Euros. Not only that, but she was also given the separate award for best stage performance at the festival.

Tight schedule
It is a busy time for the former Six4One member, who has also been invited to perform at the Sunflower music festival in Serbia later this month. Whether or not she will accept the invitation for 25th-27th Auguest depends on her very tight schedule, but Tinka and her team are hoping to compete, and repeat or better the success of the Stari grad festival.

This Saturday, you can see Tinka perform live in the open air if you happen to be by the old bridge in Mostar, Bosnia and Herzegovina, as she takes part in celebrations honouring the famous free-dive competition. The event will also be televised on TV Hayat.

Trinka looks hot, but I don't remeber her voice. Did I have too much Moldavian wine then or what?

Tinka came 15th in the semifinals of one of the most famous festivals here so not that good at all ;) And Sunflower is the mocking stock of the public here ,there are no famous singers from the region at all and the organizers bring singers from neighbouring countries that nobody knows about ahahahahahha

I wish to see Tinka finally sing for Bosnia in 2007. Some up tempo song like Helena's, with great choreography. Tinka is FAB, IMO.

Tinka for Bosnia-Herzegovina in 2007! That would be great. And a song equally good as this year's Bosnian offering, that would be something...
