Floribella soap opera

Luciana Abreu performs with Nelly Furtado

Luciana Abreu, the female half of duo 2B (who represented Portugal at the 2005 Eurovision Song Contest in Kyiv), plays the lead role on popular Portuguese soap opera Floribela. International Canadian musician Nelly Furtado is going to make a special appearance on I>Floribela!

Floribella has been a successful Portuguese soap oper (on SIC private station), which has Luciana Abreu playing the role of an adorable and sweet girl living her life against all odds.

On the show Luciana often sings, which are already available on CD and Karaoke/DVD.  Luciana will also perform  at the Ri-Fixe Musical of Floribella to take place at the Lisbon Coliseu on 13, 14 and 15 November.

Meanwhile Nelly Furtado, the popular Canadian performer whose parents are Portuguese,  was invited to take part in this soap opera by acting sas well as singing. Nelly Furtado's recent singles Maneater and Promiscuous, which represent a return to her R & B/hip hop roots after forays into pop and folk music, have topped the charts across Europe and around the world.

Luciana referred Nelly's  participation as a great lesson since she could act and perform with an internation pop star.
