Alice May finds herself a new Wood
The revival of Maywood
In 1990, Maywood represented the Netherlands at the Eurovision Song Contest in Zagreb. With the song Ik wil alles met je delen, they achieved the 15th place. The duo was then formed by two sisters, Alie and Doetie de Vries (pictured), who used the stage names Alice May and Karen Wood.
The duo was pretty successful in the Netherlands in the eighties. With the song Late at night, they even topped the Dutch charts. Shortly after the Eurovision Song Contest, the duo split up as the sisters had a hell of a row and haven't even spoken to each other since.
Now, Alie de Vries (the blond singer/pianist) found another artist to form a duo with. Together with the unknown Rose Louwers she will start performing again under the name Maywood. Their first appearance in public is scheduled for December 3rd in Antwerp (Belgium).

It was a great song and beautifully performed . I still can listen to Ik will alles met je delen and not get tired of it.
@ ido
i agree , what a great song, i have the english version too , its a shame the juries didnt reward it more approprietly
"Ik wil alles met je delen" is definately one of my top 5 in 1990. What a beautiful song, and such a great performance by the girls. I can't understand why it reached only the 15th position in Zagreb.
I even think Maywood was top 10 i Sweden with the first two albums in the 80´s.
Great news, even if the original duo had been more fun....
"No more winds to guide me" was absolutely a top 5 in 1990.
