HRT announces details

Dora 2007 - songs by 8th January

Croatian music union, HGU, published has published information on Dora 2007, Croatia's national selection show for the Eurovision Song Contest. They invite composers and artists to submit their interest for Dora 2007 before 8th December. Songs will need to be submitted by 8th January and they must be performed in Croatian.

HRT will choose the Croatian Eurovision Song Contest entry in two semifinals to be held on 1st and 2nd March. The grand final will be held the next night, on 3rd March. HGU invites Croatian composers and artists to submit their interest in participating in Dora 2007 before December to Aleksandar Kostadinov (HRT). All songs will need to be submitted by 8th January. The usual rules will apply:

  • Songs must not be published or performed before 1st October 2006.
  • On scene can be maximum 6 artist
  • Singing is live, music recorded

Early news regarding entrants includes strong indications that local band, Karma will not be performing at the event. Sources have also claimed that Danijela, the two-time Croatian representative, is expected to compete again

Due to Severina finshing in 12th place at the 2006 Eurovision Song contest, Croatia will once again need to qualify through the Semi Final of the Eurovision Song Contest in Helsinki to reach this year's final.
