Sweden Exclusive: Meet Emile Azar

With fans still anticipating what Melodifestivalen, the largest Eurovision Song Contest national selection, will deliver for Sweden this year, esctoday.com continues our extensive coverage of the popular event with an exclusive interview with one of the newcomers to the competition. Emil Azar, a strong studio singer, has been given the chance to enter the limelight on a national scale with the song Vi hade nt. He spoke to esctoday.com after the press conference in Stockholm this week.

With fans eager to debate the artists, reminisce performances from artists such as Nanne, Anna Book, Andreas Johnson, Jimmy Jansson and Andreas Lundstead, many are wondering about the new talent that Melodifestivalen will showcase this year.

esctoday.com decided to kick off our series of interviews with all of this year's participants by talking to Melodifestivalen newcomer, Emilé Azar. A 21 year old singer from Northern Sweden, Melodifestivalen 2007 is his big break and will launch him in the national limelight on prime time television.
