Me&My to perform last

Danish running order decided

DR, the Danish broadcaster have now made up the final line up for the two semi finals. There are no changes to who performs in which semi final, but a draw has now decided in which order the eight songs for each semi final are to be performed.

The first semi-final will take place at Musikteatret Holstebro on the 26th of January 2007. The arena, which is currently being rebuilt, will be able to host 1000 people. It is not particularly famous and except for a concert with ABBA just after their Eurovision victory it hasn’t hosted any major events before.

This semi final is only featuring two well-known names: Annette Heick and Jacob Andersen.
The final line up is:

1.  Paparazzi - Christoffer Brodersen
2.  Listen to love- Jacob Andersen
3.  Flammer inden i - Dariana & Olau
4.  Copenhage airport - Annette Heick
5.  Meaning of life- Danni Elmo
6.  On top of the world- Heidi Degn
7.  Fly - Annika Askman
8.  It ain't for the money - Camille Levin & DJ Mary

The competition will then move north to Aalborg, which hosted the Danish finals in 1992 and 2006, and has lately been hosting concerts by Kylie Minogue, Elton John, Bob Dylan, Prince and the Backstreet Boys. The 2006 final were held at the city's biggest arena - Gigantium - with an audience of 8000, but the 2007 semi final will be held at the Aalborg Kongres & Kultur Center, where the 1992 final were also held. The arena is smaller than Gigantium and 2500 people will be able to watch the semi-final live, which will be held on the 2nd of February 2007.

As we have mentioned earlier, the second semi final seems to be the strongest, featuring six well-known names. One of these, the international known, Me & My will have the honour of closing the second semi-final, however as four of the eight songs in each semi are directly chosen by televoting to go through to the final, no positions can be seen as favourites.

The final line up for the second semi-final:

1.  Drama queen - DQ
2.  Husker du- Aud Wilken
3.  Vi elsker bare danske piger - Jørgen Olsen
4.  Merhaba - Julie Lund
5.  Så nær som nu  - Stig Rossen
6.  It's a beautiful day- Katrine Falkenberg
7.  Say you love me- James Sampson
8.  Two are stronger than one - Me & My

Horsens has been chosen for the big final. Within the past few years, this city has managed to make itself known as the number one city in Denmark when it comes to the biggest concerts. Names such as Robbie Williams, Paul McCartney and R.E.M have already been there and the 2006 summer program includes names such as Madonna and the Rolling Stones. The Danish final will take place on 10th February 2007 in front of an audience of 4000 people.

The final will, as usual, have ten songs competing: the eight songs directly chosen and two wildcards chosen by each their radio station.

I'm very excited to Denmarks entry in 2007! Denmark has almost always been one of my favourite participating countries in Eurovision!! They've had many great entries in the past (1989, 1990, 1996, 1999, 2000, 2001, 2002, 2004, 2005 and 2006)!! But please don't send Aud Wilken with a song like her 1995 entry 'Fra Mols til Skagen' to Helsinki!! It was definitely one of Denmarks worst Eurovision entries and it didn't deserved a 5th place in 1995 because it was such a boring song!! Aud has no irradiation at all !! Denmark has many famous groups, singers, acts like for example: Safri Duo, Toy Box, Aqua, Daze, Cartoons, Whigfield, Me & My, ... who could be a good choice for Eurovision someday!
Anyway good luck in 2007 Denmark!!
