SPAIN 2008
It comes as no surprise that the most promising songs are the Swedish ones. If I had to choose one of them I would choose Destiny, although it's a very Scandinavian take on Spanish music. Mind you, the point is to find something that everyone can identify with. I Love You Mi Vida is simply not that good, and Bailame is Melodifestivalen material at best. Of the songs actually written by Spaniards, Una Lágrima stands out for its quality, and would probably do well with southern Europe, but be left out in the cold by everyone else. Rounding out my top 5 is Busco Un Hombre!
I can see not many of you here share my opinion... but that Ley Le Lee song has what I would expect to hear in terms of mood and lyrics in Spanish that are not too difficult to follow.
La Reina de la Noche is rather immature. It sounds like some old-fashioned disco cr*p. PerdOn!
I like Destiny
Hola and Adios from Noruega
There is an interesting range of songs here, between some that are good, some that are strange and some that are all ok.
I listened to them all once to make my decision fairly and after a while I began to notice that alot of the songs sound like older eurovision songs, from Una Lágrima (which reminded me strangely of Rimi Rimi Ley) to Cuánto Amor Por Ti (which has echos of Slovenia 2003) to Báilame (which is without a shadow of a doubt the song Shame On You, Denmark 2004, with different words).
Anyway the 5 songs that I think will most likely be picked.
1. I Love You Mi Vida - It gets better as it goes on but it is probably the strongest song.
2. Ley Le Lee - My personal favorite, not a eurovision song but I loved it!
3. Báilame - It's a strong song, rip of that it is...
4. Una Lágrima - Sounds very Turkish or Indian, but I like it.
5. La Reina De La Noche - Because it was the best of all the ok songs.
However, the strangest songs are Busco Un Hombre and Ain Veri Japi Nau (which reminded me of Volare)...
The United Kingdom awards 12 points for Destiny, 10 points for I love you mi vida, 8 points for Tu Voz se aparaga, 7 points for La Reina de la noche and finally 6 points for Busco un hombre.
TVE have selected some great songs this year and I hope ESC 2008 will be in SPAIN!!!
Guys:
first of all , remember that the songs available are not the finalized versions...
Secondly, you can match a song and a singer....
To the spanish fans: guys, we're voting for the songs, not for the singer. I do like I love you mi vida, but if i had to vote for this song, it would be for the quality of the song, not just for Rebeca.
I like Rebeca, who i would love to see representing Spain...but i can't hide that my favorite song is not I love you mi vida....
Then, according to me, the best match would be:
"Tu voz se apagara" by Rebeca o Coral
Please send I LOVE YOU MI VIDA FOR A PLACE IN THE TOP5 SPAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAIN!!!PLE ASE!!!!
I have voted for "I love you mi vida" because is the best spanish entry and I like Rebeca very much since she was starting singing. I think this song could be the winner in Helsinki with a good performance and I would like to see ESC in Barcelona (Palau Sant Jordi). It will be an incredible place but TVE would decided if Barcelona or Madrid. Anyway Go Rebeca Go!!!!!!!
Now that's more like it. The site finally works and the songs are actually quite good... all of them! Ok, some are better than others but this is a very good selection nonetheless.
I'm hope that "Tu voz se apagará" will go to Helsinki... then again, the Spanish schlager "Destiny" is wicked too!
Eurofans I encourage you to vote for "Tu voz se apagara" as I tink is a stronger contentder than "I love you mi vida". I definetly think it will be between these two songs to who represents Spain in Helsinki.
Nice to see Spain letting Europe pick the song to represent Spain....great work this year.
Barcelona 2008
regards T
Hiya folks!
Great to hear all the songs. Busco un hombre and Destiny are my faves.
Best of luck Espana!!!
I am happy that people from all over Europe can vote the Spanish song. I encourage you to register and do it, because at the end, you are the only ones who can vote for our song in the final.
Mick, I agree with you that "Ya estás aquí" is a nice song. The more I hear it, the more I like it, but the voice there is awful. You are right.
Anyway, Rebeca with "I love you mi vida" for Spain!!!!
Well ilove you mi vida is the best song, but I think that Bailame will win, rmember what happened tp Davina and Mi obsession in 2004?
A great bunch of songs for Spain this year and I am glad to be able to vote too!
I voted for 'I Love You Mi Vida', 'Destiny' and 'Tu Voz Se Asparaga' because all of them are amazing and would be do very well in ESC. I also hope they all make it to the final five gala.
I really hope "I love you mi vida" wins.
I think Spain will win the ESC if they send that song (I will vote for it), I hope Rebeca can sing live!
Madrid or Barcelona 2008!
My TOP 5:
1. La Reina De La Noche
2. I Love You Mi Vida
3. Cuanto Amor Por Ti
4. Destiny
5. Tu Voz Se Apagará
Ya estas aqui is a nice song, too. It is completely underrated right now. Well, the voice on the version which is available is horrible, I agree, but with a decent singer this song could do very well. Don't forget, the songs are not related to a specific singer.
My Top 5:
1. I Love You Mi Vida
2. Reina de la Noche
3. Tu Voz se Apagará
4. Ya estas aqui
5. Destiny
My top 3, in this order:
1st, and absolutely, Rebeca with "I love you mi vida".
2nd, "La reina de la noche" (with Coral???).
3rd, "Tu voz se apagará".
Rebeca a Eurovisión!!!!
My Top 5:
1. I Love You Mi Vida
2. Tu Voz se Apagará
3. Bailame
4. Ley le lee
5. Bailame
"the queen of the nigth" (la reina de la noche) is the best, sure...
Tu vos se apagará is THE BEST OF THEM.
I Think Spain should choose this song but as far i'm concerned, isn't "I love you mi vida" basically the "winner" already?
Anyways "Tu vos se apagará" for Spain!!!
1-Tu voz se apagará
that song starts like a turkish folk ballads then turn to a uptempo song,i like it very much
2- La reina de la noche
3-i love you mi vida
4-Busco un hombre
5-Báilame
6-Una lágrima
7-Cuánto amor por ti
8-Ven a bailar
9-Me gusta hacer canciones con un Hey
i like all of them especially top 3,Madrid 2008?
"Destiny" is my favourite too, a fine song.
I like "Destiny" very much .. hope it will be released soon ..
