The best six songs from each semi final, as chosen by a special jury and televoting will enter the final stage. The televoting share is of 50%, while that of the jury voting is also of 50 %.
The grand final, where the twelve songs will participate, will take place on 10th February. The winner will be also decided by televoting (50%) and by jury (50%). All three heats of the contest will be broadcast live on TVR 1.
Due to Mihai's 4th place in Athens with Tornerò, Romania is once again directly qualified for the final in Helsinki 2007.

I love Crazy!!! 
It was a coincidence that I discovered Morandi, I heard "Falling asleep" at the airport in Bulgaria after spending my vacations there (I live in Sweden), and ever since they have been my musical favourites. I was so happy when I found out that they are competing! I just wish I could see the Romanian final 
Will there be a webcast? Though my internet is so slow that I wouldn't be albe to watch it...
Anyway, why do everybody like "Dracula, my love"?
why has no one mentioned the cracking 'Crazy'? It's Brilliant, I can't get it out of my head and would be automatically top 5!
In general I must admit that I’m slightly disappointed by the quality of most songs in Romania! Of course in every country there are very good, good, bad and very bad songs but I expected and certainly by such high number of submitted entries!! The last few years Romania produced some of the best entries in the history of Eurovision. And I’m quiet sure that soon Romania will win, but actually I’m really convinced that this isn’t going to be Romania’s year! Maybe in a few years but I’m afraid not in 2007!
By the way: one thing is very remarkable when you are listening to these songs: many songs from this selection sounds very familiar to some previous Eurovision entries!! Especially ‘Make it’ from Giulia Nahmany (semi 1) is almost a complete copy from the Belgian super hit ‘Risin’’ by Belgian superstar Natalia in 2004 (Natalia was the runner up from the first edition of ‘Idols’ in Belgium in 2003 and she was also the runner up in the final of ‘Eurosong 2004’, the Belgian selection for the Eurovision Song Contest).
For this years Romanian selection I’m going to split up a few entries in 2 different categories:
1st category: !!!!SONGS WHO ARE TO RIDICULOUS FOR WORDS!!!!
1. ‘Stay united’ (semi 1) This reminds me of the idiotic entries from Turkey in 2004 and Poland in 2005. I really hate it: a BIG, FAT ZERO!! 0/10
2. ‘Liubi, liubi, I love you’ (semi 1) This is totally the opposite of a good song!! The guy is just rhyming while he’s telling a story to people who don’t give a damn!! No further comment!! 0/10
3. ‘Dracula, my love’ (semi 2) I really don’t understand why people love this?! This is pure horror, trash, crap, and way to childish!! I think the Junior Eurovision don’t even want this to be one of their entries!! It’s really to ridiculous for words and imo it has no change to do well in the final in Helsinki!! 0/10
4. ‘Do the tango with me’ (semi 2) This really is a big disgrace for the music industry in the world!! People aren’t waiting for such ‘thing’!! 0/10
2nd category: !!!!SONGS WHO ARE GOOD OR REALLY GREAT AND COULD DO (VERY) WELL!!!!
1. ‘Music in my soul’ (semi 1) Strong song that could do very well in Eurovision!! Enjoyable dance music!! 8/10
2. ‘Well-o-wee’ (semi 1) Yiiiihaaaa, it’s time to party!! I’m happy to see Rednex competing in Romania!! I absolutely adore their smash hit ‘Cotton eye Joe’ but I must admit that I didn’t like their Melodifestivalen 2006 entry: ‘Mama, take me home’!! But I definitely like this song!! It’s a very catchy and funny song!! This could be the joke-entry of this year in Eurovision and that’s certainly not a bad thing (remember LT United from Lithuania last year, 6th place in the final)!! This could be the one to beat for representing Romania in Helsinki!! 9,5/10
3. ‘Where were you’ (semi 1) A good and simple song without much tralala!! But I’m afraid that this is to ‘simple’ for Eurovision these days to do well!! 7,5/10
4. ‘Dulce-amăruie’ (semi 1) This is a very strong and beautiful ballad from Nico!! I think this song is even better than her other very good song in the second semi-final: ‘Love is all you need’. Romania will send an up-tempo song to Helsinki for sure, but if Romania thinks of sending a ballad to Eurovision, than it has to be this one!! 9/10
5. ‘Love is all you need’ (semi 2) Very good song, it makes me wanna dance!! But I like Nico’s ballad: ‘Dulce-amăruie’ from the first semi-final a bit more!! 8/10
6. ‘Soapte’ (semi 2) Very beautiful ballad!! 8,5/10
7. ‘You and me’ (semi 2) I really love this kind of ballads!! It’s a very beautiful sung ballad but imo it’s a bit weaker than the two other ballads: ‘Dulce-amăruie’ and ‘Soapte’ But it still is a great song!! Again it think this is to ‘simple’ for Eurovision to do well!! 8/10
8. ‘European – a beautiful sin’ (semi 2) I love this kind of songs, it brings me in a good mood!! Strong up-tempo song!! This entry from Desperado & Tony is a bit better than their song: “Where were you’ in the first semi-final!! But I really like them both!! 8,5/10
9. ‘Love struck’ (semi 2) Simply one of the best songs and of course one of the big favourites to represent Romania in Eurovision!! It’s very catchy and this why I like this kind of songs!! This song is written by the famous power-duo: Thomas G 
on from Sweden and Gerard James Borg from Malta!! We know already that they can write and compose (very) good and strong songs for Eurovision because they’ve proven that already a few times (‘Invincible’ for Sweden 2006, ‘Listen to your heartbeat’ for Sweden 2001, ‘On again … off again’ for Malta 2004, ‘7th wonder’ for Malta 2002, ‘Desire’ for Malta 2000, &hellip 
!! But I must admit: although I love this song so much I can’t help thinking of many songs I recognize in this song: ‘Takes two to tango’ the Finnish entry in 2004 and of course the first result from the collaboration between G on and James Borg: ‘Absolutely fabulous’ by the fantastic Queentastic (imo the best song from all the national selections in 2006 that didn’t get to Eurovision itself)!! And of course I don’t know if the girls can sing live, but it’s a fact that, if they can they will be a main contender for victory in the Romanian final!! 9,5/10
10. ‘No podre vivir’ (semi 2) The Eurovision Song Contest in Tallinn was one of the best editions with the most good and strong songs (with exception of a few songs of course)!! But one of my absolute favourites was definitely ‘Tell me’ the power ballad from Romania sung by the other power duo: the amazing Monica Anghel & Marcel Pavel!! I’m surprised to see Marcel returning because I didn’t expect him to do that. But I’m very glad to see him back with another super entry!! This song has everything to do (very) well: beautiful and very strong voice, strong arrangement, good lyrics, lovely melody, … . Maybe it’s sad to see that the lyrics are in Spanish, but that definitely doesn’t harm the song!! 9,5/10
I will be very happy if one of those 10 songs will go to Helsinki, than I’m convinced they will achieve a good result!! BUT if one of the 4 songs of the first category gets to Eurovision than I’m afraid that Romania will fail miserably in the final and must start in the semi-final in 2008!!

Well done Romania. I would they there are no really bad songs. Most of them are nice but nothing special. Some other are nice but boring. I think outstanding are (okay, my subjective favourites):
Stay United - great beat, reminds me a bit of Zdob shi zdob
Lovestruck - absolutely swedish, love it, this one has really catched me, but if this works? Swedish pop from Romania?
Music in my soul - just quite nice without a 'but'
Liubi, liubi, I love you - although nice
Dracula, my love - all-day-dancepop, but quite creative theme and well produced and with a good performance in a row with Luminita Anghel and Mihai Traistariu with a bit more ethno
Do the tango with me - okay, I love tango, but there had been better tango-songs in ESC-history
Big battle between: Jasmine, Indiggo (both artists have good songs), Morandi (although their song is crap, they have many fans, who'll support them, so I expect Morandi to receive 12 points from the televoters in the 1st semifinal)...Ummm, Rednex & Ro-Mania....definetely childish, but will obtain good rank just because Rednex is a NAME in music, this is the only reason...And finally, Simplu + Andra, my favourites, the only reasonable choice. 'Dracula, my love" shold represent Romania at this year's ESC. Good luck for both Andra and the guys!!!
Here's what the things stand - no one, and I repeat, no one from the romanian televoters will vote for the highest places unknown artists or barely known artists like: Respect - I will love you; Giulia Nahmany - Make it; Daniela Răduică- Nu insista ; New Effect - Sinada; Locomondo - Liubi, Liubi, I love you; Gabi Huiban - Rubber Girl; Tibi Scobiola - Nu pot sa uit; Celia - Soapte; Ada - You and me; Trupa Veche - 20. These songs have no chance in hell o representing Romania on ESC 2007, so bye bye since now...I also don't understand the big fuss around Desperado...Both songs are crap, so...bye bye for them too....Big disappointment from Morandi, Nico, Spitalul de Urgenta, and the old dinosaur - Marcel Pavel (go back to your cript, old man!!! )
