Dora: the 32 semi finalists

HRT have confirmed the list of 32 finalists that will participate in Dora 2007. As expected, all the names that had previously been announced by esctoday.com and partner site eurovision-croatia.com are in the mix, along with some new faces.Du�ko Ćurlić and Mirko Fodor will host Dora 2007. Both are very famous TV hosts and they already have experience in hosting the selection since they already did so before. The songs will all be performed in Croatian, and a public vote will be held after the winner is decided to determine whether the song will be sung in Croatian or English at the Eurovision Song Contest in Helsinki.

Dora will be held on 1st, 2nd and 3rd March in the Crystal Hall of the Kvarner Hotel in Opatija. Unlike last year, HRT viewers will this year be able to see previews of the Dora entrants on Saturday nights from 10th February.

16 performers will compete in the two semi-final nights. In the final, to be held on 3rd March, we will see sixteen performers, eights from each semi-final night. The winner of all nights will be the performer who wins 50% of votes of the jury and 50% of viewers' votes (televoting). The method of voting by the jury and viewers shall be set out in spearate rules given by HRT.

The songs shall be performed in the Croatian language, and selected performers and authors must be Croatian citizens. Viewers shall decide by direct voting in one of HTV programmes if the winning song of DORA 2007 is to be sung in the English language.

ok...i think that naim ayra was apart of firt croatian performers..back in 1993..with Put and Dont ever cry!
From my point of view Croatia had its best results with Tonci Huljic..so JELENA ROZGA should be our first option this year..

Let me get this straight, they reject a wonderful singer like Hari, but let these tone deaf bimbos in! Talk about cutting off your nose to spite your face! May they drown in peroxide! Being able to sing is obviously not a requisite for entering Dora. They are not even good enough for drunken karaoke. I think I-ll go for a fag when they come on.

Kemal Monteno composed the entry for Yugoslavia back in 1973: "Gori vatra", sung by Zdravko Colic and the Bosnian entry into the 1973 Yugoslav final. It would be interesting to see Monteno back in Eurovision after 34 years.

Or is it his son?

Alexander, lol! Luka Nižetić was at a Eurovision party in Slovenia in 2005 and was the "professional jury" at the karoke and gave me decent points!! Also, totally coincidentally, he goes on the same sunbed as me! When I said this all my gay friends asked for the address of the sunbed!!!
