The fans are waiting
Melodifestival CD released 6th of March
According to our partner site escsweden.com the official release is March the 9th, the day before the final, but Statoil customers can buy the CD already from the 6th, due to the fact that the petrol company is one of the sponsors on this years Melodifestival.
The price is estimated to be around 179skr but it can vary a little bit depending on the shop.
Last year Statoil, as a sponsor, also had the benefit of selling the CD and this turned out quite well. Within the first six weeks, the company had already sold 30,000 copies of the CD. At that time 180,000 copies had been sold in total, so one every six CD's were sold through the sponsor.
The Melodifestival CD is a top selling product both in Sweden and among Eurovision Song Contest fans abroad and this year will probably be no exception. In a time where the music industry is complaining about internet downloads being a big problem, this is extremely good as mp3 files of these songs will be floating among fans as soon as the Swedish selection kicks off.
The 2007 CD will feature the traditional Melodifestival logo of a crown in different colours and this year’s background will be yellow.

Just from the artists I'd like to see Nanne or Sanna Nielsen winning!But especially Sanna,because she has sent many great songs in the past like Igar,idag and the one with Frederick Kempre...

aggie - if The Ark, Andreas Johnson and The Attic have songs similar to their original style I for sure would rather have them in the ESC final instead of a pale stupid swedish schlager... which we have heard so many times before.
Sweden sends the same song alomst every year now... its like countries who just sends ballads, or rock songs. If it had been a ballad every year then EVERYBODY would have been totally negative - but since its schlager and most euro-enthusiasts love this kind of lame music then there is not so many complaints. For me Sweden is the country who shows most cowardness in this competition... always play safe - never try something new... To me the WINNER of ESC always comes from MF, but they never choose it 
Mendez, Jill Johnson, Alcazar, Nanne, Andreas, BWO and many more would have deserverd to be in the international final much more than the respective ones who got chosen
Always look forward to Melodifestivalen in Sweden. Great show every year and always many nice songs and artists. I do not agree with Stian saying that Sweden the last years end up with the wrong song. It is the people of Sweden that is televoting and we must respect their choice, of course it is not always the song that I like best that wins the finale (like last year when I was hoping for Andreas Johnson or Bodies Without Organs (BWO), but the people wanted Carola and that is how is was. Carola is a very good singer and always have good performances just like last year when she was in the top 5 in the finale of ESC.

Melodifestivalen is the greatest National final and they have always chosen the best song...Except when they chose "Las Vegas" over "Hall Om Mig!"...
The swedish preselections are always the best - but the final is among the worst cause Sweden is the worst when it comes to voting for the known names instead of the good songs. So the final always end up being a bad act. Sweden always chooses the wrong song for the international final... they have done so EVERY year this decade And if they keep on doing this they will never get the chance to win again... so lets hope for some daring votest this year: VOTE The Ark, Andreas Johnson and The Attic feat. i think the jet set will win in poland next weekend not charizma actually i think the jet sets song is mtuch better.

im not a fna of magnus carlsson i think he is very overrated. and i think he has been in mf to many times in a row now. but he wont win mf this yeatr anyway.
i love mf and it is the best national final.

i am not to keen on the colour it looks tacky and the dvd will be the same eww eww eww dnt liek it, i was expecting a nice deep colour, lik the blue, purple and red of 04, 05 and 06, i was expecting an emerald green or purply pink, but eww no yelloe, yuckies lol

I thought I would be one of the first to make a comment about the CD (I thought was the point of these REACT pages). I can't wait to get my hands on the CD. Year after year the Swedish Final produces some of my favourite tracks. I really enjoy watching the semi finals and the Final via the web. People have commented that the Swedish Final is almost as good as the ESC itself.
Sweden just put so much effort into the contest. No wonder they've been in the Top 10 almost every year since 1991. What a record! Melodifestival is one of my most listened to CDs each year.

Magnus Carlsson has been my favorite Sweedish male-singer since I saw him first time with Barbados sing "Se mig" I remember hed weared yellow pants, His voice is powerful and good, and so is his smile too! lol
