ME 4th Heat: last 5 qualified acts
The following are the 5 selected acts that are taking part in the semifinal, to be held next February 10th.
GERARD AND MIRELA (duet)
The youngest participants at the duets modality, both already individually qualified, had a great chance to show their aptitude once again. They did not waste their opportunity and gained the most of the public support. Their performance, a Spanish version of Mariah Carey's Without you, beated the other potent duos: Two Heaven (Baltanás and Mercedes Sayas), Rebeca & Paco Arrojo and Rut Marcos & Yolanda.
MERCHE LLOBERA
Definitely, the youngest competitors have been the public's favourites tonight. Merche Llobera, who hails from Madrid, is 19 years old and has participated at other programmes aired time ago by TVE: Veo, veo and Música Sí. She has also experience in the interpretation world, having given her voice to some characters in TV series: CSI or Falcon Beach, to name a few. Her performance, Si tú no estás aquí, gained 191 points and was placed first since almost the beginning of the show. Balearic Islands, the Basque Country, La Rioja, Ceuta and Melilla rewarded her with 12 points.
FRAN
Fran Pahino was born in Valladolid 31 years ago and is descended from a family of artists. He has been devoted to music for 12 years, and has developed his career as a soloist and as a member of different bands. Fran climbed positions tonight and became the runner-up with 154 points. Most of them came from Castile and Leon (his homeland), Galicia, Murcia and Navarre.
MIRIAM ROCA
Miriam is 19 years old and comes from Mequinenza, a town in Aragon. She started developing her musical abilities at the age of 5 and now she lives in Barcelona. 113 points, the third place and, therefore, the direct qualification for the semifinal are her reward tonight. Aragon, Miriam's natal Autonomous Community, gave her 12 points.
LUIS AMANDO
There has been a novelty about the organizers' election tonight. Massiel and Mikel Herzog have not pronnounced the name of the rescued competitor, but it has been given to the host Paula Vázquez inside a closed envelope. Luis Amando has been the name that has completed the list of qualified acts for the semifinal. After being placed 8th with 85 points, Misión Eurovisión bore his experience, especially at musical plays, in mind.

well, I´d like to see Yanira Figueroa with tu voz se apagará in Esc 2007. Yanira is the best singer in the preselection

OMG Diego Cosio made me laugh so much!!!! He could have been a great comedy act 
I am now more convinced that this Spanish preselection system is really silly. We have just seen 4 long karaoke sessions, and still one more to go. I prefer that each singer take is own song from the beginning (like 2 years ago TVE did, and almost every country in Europe do). And the songs have been chosen too early, in comparison with the singers, so now many of those who passed don't have real chances to go to Helsinki.
I agree Paula Vazquez's English is terrible, but I found her funny in her "free" translations...
Why didn't Massiel say a word yesterday??? She's the heart of the show!!!!

I don't get the aim of this selection procedure. What are they trying to do? I wonder how they will match the songs with the singers.
C'mon, folks... FORGET REBECA, she's just crap - can´t sing, can´t dance. Sadly, the whole fourth Misión Eurovisión show was a disaster. Why the hell can`t tve hire a host who's capable of doing an interview in English??? Paula Vázquez is completely useless and it was embarrassing to see her "talk" to Dana International. To me the only option out of that show was Fran. But since the songs are weak anyway, I think we have not a big chance to do well this year at the ESC. Pity. Kinda nice to see the Belorussian song was bad too...

Really i did not like none of these artists.... so...
From what I have seen I'm really impressed by Mirela. I think she can do wonders with "I love you mi vida".
I keep on saying that Rebeca isn't that popular in Spain (televoting just proved that she's not the favourite anymore). Televisión Española is trying so hard to find the perfect formula to make us see her as the perfect representant ... But she keeps on singing poorly and I've started realising that she's just a plain blonde with a wonderbra and a producer with loads of money.
Maybe she'll go to the ESC, but we'll have another Beth and 'Dime'. A good song perfomed by someone whose singing habilities are just non-existent !
The worst show of 4. How can a girl at a piano with no voice win? Luckely Fran did go through as he had one of the better voices. Did anyone noticed that before the points were announced all four were already sitting next to each other? Rebecca once again showed that she cannot sing and if it may happen that she will go to Eurovision, although I have my doubts about that, Spain will become last whatever song they may choose.

Diego Cosío gave only 1 point from mobile phone, too much for the dissaster lol lol lol, but the 12 point goes to Merche LLobera
The fourth Gala wasn't good. Rebeca didn't sing well. Diego Cosío's perfomance was nasty. Only Gerard and Mirela in duett and Merche Llobera made good perfomances.

Winners are Ok..But I dont think any of them will win...This was the worst gala as far as Voices go. (In my opinion)... Go Rebeca!...I Love you Rebeca!...

@ Adam...ok, your messege is clear . Though having the results of the gala in mind, Rebeca didn`t make it to the final with the duo thing and only with help from the jury lasr time. I am relly not sure if she makes it to Helsinki, she doesn`t seem popular with the televote. There are other great singers aswell...
After listening to Rebeca tonight, I have to say once more that this girl has no voice at all .. Televisión Española has tried so hard to make viewers vote for her but she hasn't succeeded when she went solo and neither did she today along with Paco Arrojo.
Maybe 'I love you mi vida' is the best song but I'm sure there're loads of finalists who could sing it much better than she did ... Mirela ? Nazaret ? Montse Mallorquín ? Even N.A.S.H. is better
