The Results: Latvian finalists selected
The second semi-final followed the pattern of the the first qualifier round. 10 songs competed for 5 available places in Eirodziesma 2007 final. During the live broadcast the videos of the 10 entries were shown.

The jury, consisting of producer and singer Mirdza Zivere, fashion designer Elita Patmalniece, LTV1 director Baiba Smite, music journalist Uldis Rudaks, musician Juris Kulakovs, musician Karlis Auzans and producer Marcis Gulbis, chose their own favourites.

The final of Eirodziesma is becoming international. If the songs entering the final from the first qualifier round are all written by Latvian authors, then the songs advancing to the final from the second heat present the prevailing Swedish creativity.
Questa Notte is penned by a Swede, Kjell Jensting. Klaidonis' song is a cooperation of a Latvian musician Maris Sloka who has written the music, and American Earl J Dawson who wrote the lyrics.A professional from Sweden, Marcos Ubeda, is the author of You are losing me. One of the jury's favourites, The legends of rock'n'roll is by Robert Wells (Sweden), but the only song that could be considered as pure Latvian, Gonki, is performed in Russian.
The Latvian entry for the qualifier round of Eurovision Song Contest 2007 will be selected on February 24.

I heard our national speaker saying that ESC will see a lot of changes including the possibility to become a contest of the WORLD in 2009... i couldn't believe when i heard, they can't do that, ESC will loose all the sence... this a contest to unite the europeans and to show Europe's diferent cultures... they are just destroying our ESC... DON'T DO THAT PLEASEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!

For this second voting I was shocked... 
TOP3 are songs which I expected to be somwhere under TOP 5... 
But OK... Country and Tenors from Latvia? That's risk...and risk we made last year fizzled out...

If we would send Jolanda and GunÄrs,that would be funny. In fact...I liked them,that was nice!When I looked video,I thought that Jolanda should come up on stage more effective,but everything else was realy OK!
With russian song by Intars in best case we could get points from russian speaking countries and countries where are russian people...that would be enough? At least we wouldn't be last one...

Lenii to ESC, she`s the best. I am glad that Wells/Salamader song didn`t do well at the televote though.

In Eurovision already is ONE OPERA song from SLOVENIA.... and ESC isnt OPERA, there must be SHOW! Must be CATCHY SONG with nice show, or at least catchy EUROVISION song.....
I have learned Italian in school and I can say that 4 of the 6 are good in Italian

BONOPARTI like COSMOS , 6 guys, 6 voices, YEA, I agree they singing good, BUT WE already tried to send good singing ARTISTS, and they DIDNT reach good position, LATVIANS DONT make SAME MISTAKES TWO YEARS in a ROW!!!

I've only two candidates - Lenni and Bonoparti.lv. I voted for them in semi and I'll vote for them in final, because I like them very much.
