200 songs received
Serbia: Participants list known
RTS received a record number of songs this year, something that pleased the Serbian broadcaster as it is their first participation after the split with Montenegro. The list is quite varied as it includes artists representing many different music genres of the local music scene. Duška Vučinić-Lučić ,PR manager of Beovizija, told Blic that the audience can expect a lot of surprises the night of the semi.
The stage will be designed by Goran Joksimović like every year. The Serbian preselection is renowned for the impressive stages and this year it promises to be even more impressive. For the semi and final interval acts many popular artists from the region and beyond have been invited.
The participants' list is as follows (in random order):
Ivana Pavlović and Negative
Bla bla Band
Miki Perić
Aleksandra Perović
Emina Jahović
Marija Šerifović
Maja Marković
Maja Nikolić
Ivana Jordan
Amadeus Bend
Mira Škorić
Aleksa Jelić
Tanja and Bane
IQ Band
Blizance
Igor Vujević
Suzana Dimić
Slobodan Trkulja and Balkanopolis
Beti Bup Band A song by Saša Dragić ( artist choice pending)
The Beovizija will be co-produced by RTS and MEGAFON and it is scheduled to take place in the Sava Center on March 7th and 8th, at 21.00 CET. Both shows will be broadcast by RTS, RTS Satellite and webcast as well. During the interval, on the final night, the annual Music Achievement Awards will be presented to the most successful Serbian music artists. RTS will be holding a press conference on February 8th to announce the list officially, together with more details on the events.
The Serbian audience will also have the opportunity to hear the songs and to learn more about the participants on ten shows which will be broadcast every day, but the weekend, from February 21st to March 6th.
As Serbia did not participate in last year's Eurovision Song Contest, they will be performing in the semi final on May 10th, in Helsinki.
A special thanks to Denis Milovic and Mladen Koprivica for their contribution to the article.

I think one of three countries is due a win very soon - Romania, Serbia and Russia. Congratulatoins to these countries for really making an effort with their songs.
Hopefully we will be able to discuss the Serbian songs on the radio show "Life is a Song Contest" radio show which is broadcast weekly on Radio Rivas in Madrid in Spanish. The shows can also be found on "Europodcasting.com".
This week, the guys decided to do an English version as a trial. You can hear it here! They´re not sure if they will do it again... but had fun making this once off anyway!

in Turkey she uses 'Turkcan'LOL i don't know why she need to do ???
Edin: I am glad we agree
One thing is for sure: there are bigger nationaliss OUTSIDE Serbia (like for instsace Rep Srpska/Bosnia, Scandinavia, Germany, US, Australia.. I know more bosniaks in Vojvodina, and Belgrade also has it's share of multiethnicity. People in Serbia are more peaceful than most people think, there are no more nationalistic tendencies in Belgrade than for instance in Zagreb. But I am happy it gets better and better for every year that goes by, because it's a sign of normality!
@ *justagirl* Emina still goes by the name of Jahovic and Mirsad by Turkcan
Emina will not sing for Serbia because nationalistic reactions, people adore her In Serbia!!!
She is beautiful and sexy but she doesnt know to sing alive!! Jury will see that and audience!!!
For Serbia is best to send best singer like Marija Serifovic or Maja Markovic
Emina maybe could win if song is really good but i dont think that could happeen!!!
emina and mirsad uses Turkcan as surname here.who cares?
emina's song is important here.for ex like da i ona zna?
btw, novi pazar is a little mixed isn't it?
Edin; No it's not important at all, but I think it's cool to have a multicultural Serbia. You constantly go on about how multiethnic Bosnia is, and I have to say so is Serbia. We have all kinds of nationalities and religions, muslims, catholics, orthodox, and then we have many hungarians and ukranians, rusins, russians, slovaks, etc etc etc
I am honoured that Emina wants to sing for Serbia, it means we have come a long way since the war, and if Vojvodina-Hungarian Ruzsa Magdolna would ever particiapate for Serbia I'd be more than delighted - and yes very honoured
Well i read your coments,Emina is bosnian, but she is born in Novi Pazar and she sing in Serbia !!!
Anyway good luck who eve go to Helsinki !!1
hmm i want to see tijana dapcevic or negative for serbia.but i have a feeling that it's gonna be emina although i don't find it satisfying.good luck srbija!
I can't decide who I think would fit better for Serbia, Ivana or Emina. Ivana is REALLY good , but can't come with the same stage performance-mess and lack of choreography as in Evropesma. Here are two great songs by her

If Emina goes for it,High points will come to Serbia just like in 2004.Because she is so well known singer in Turkey..Ex fiancee of one of our superstars Mustafa sandal. She is singing mostly serbian versions of mustafa's songs...For ex. this song is a musti song from 90s but emina sings it in serbian.

Emina Emina Eminac for Serbia!
EMINA JAHOVIC GO TO HELSINKI OR IVANA JORDAN. (VLADIMIR, ITS NOT TRUE!!! I AM MUSLIM AND I VOTE FOR THE BEST SONG EVERY YEAR. WHY YOU VOTE FOR RUSSIA EVERY YEAR?)
I think Emina Jahovic, Ivana Jordan and Maja Nikolic would be perfect choices for Serbia
I am so happy we are participating again this year! And we don't have to worry about someone sabotaging the contest for the third year in a row
Of course it depends on the songs, but with a really good song both Emina and Ivana would have a good chance, and Maja Nikolic has a beautiful voice
Go blizanci... Laki is great song !!!
Ivana Jordan too!

i adore you mer maid....
Vladimir Popov has no idea what he is talking about . Bosnia Herzegovina is multi ethinic and multi religious country with no religious majority .
@Pelin...
Just ignore that pathetic POPOv guy..
Instead make fun with his surname which is a great match with his personalitiy
hahahahahaha
Ottoman mentality LOL
Some people thinks they know everything but actually they don't know anything.
Hey Turkey is offically secular, why we vote for Bosnia for only sharing same religion,i gave so many votes to Bosnia last year cos the song was a masterpiece!!!That's all......
Good Luck Serbia
I think that Marija Serifovic or Maja Markovic have chance to win!!!!!They have best voices!
Emina Jahovic is very popular and beautiful but she doesnt know to sing live.
IS it true that Romania selection has colapsed with 3 down due to legal questions?
Goodbye Dracula......
yes it is so!
Edin, as an orthodox serb living in cyprus i ill tell you where the 10 points come from every year. To start with the fact that all the serbs living in cyprus vote many times over and over for serbia. Second, serbia's entries are always very popular here, they go on television and even lane moje was put as ring tone on the tv stations...
And dont tell us to stop the politics coz u brought them onto this page, so i really believe that u need a life!
Ivana Jordan for Serbia. Her last album is great and I'm sure she saved best song for Eurovision!
@ Edin,
Political pts to Bosnia-Herzegovina:
1. Turkey - Islam, Ottoman mentality
2. Albania - Islam
3. Serbia - because of the Sancak region
4. Montenegro - because of the Sancak region
5. Croatia - 20.000 Muslims there
6. Slovenia - same as Croatia
7. Macedonia - same as Croatia
8. Denmark - immigrants
9. Norway - immigrants
10. Sweden - immigrants
Edin: Yes Emina is from Serbia and she lives in Belgrade, but still - bosnians adore her, so we'll see
Romana is also a serbian from Bosnia yes, and she also participated in Evropesma and is very popular in Serbia. If she would participate for Bosnia I'm sure Serbia would give her many points. You may deny these things, but it's the way it is in the Balkans, as soon as someone is good, people "claim" them to be their own. But I naturally think it SHOULD be the way you say it is, although I don't belive it's like that. And you really didn't get tired of this "orthodox diaspora"-talk yet? Please just relax and enjoy the music
IS it true that Romania selection has colapsed with 3 down due to legal questions?
Goodbye Dracula......
No Jelena Karleusa?!?!?! :-((((
Anyway Good Luck to all. May Serbia picks the best song! see you in the final (for sure)!
Oh god... so many good choices.
Negative, Ivana Jordan or Emina Jahovic for Helsinki.
