Drag queen and former winner get a wildcard
Denmark: Olsen and DQ to the final
The drag queen DQ has won the P3 wildcard with the song Drama queen. Former winner of the Eurovision Song Contest Jørgen Olsen has won the P4 wildcard with Vi elsker bare danske piger.
Both will now rush off to Horsens to join the 8 already selected songs. Tonight is the official opening party which will be held at an untraditional location, Horsens States prison. Esctoday.com will be present to bring you the latest news before the Danish final on Saturday the 10th.

Hmm - if you look at the voting on DR's debate & at Esconnet.dk - Me&My will get there succes! On esconnet.dk are they tie with DQ for the moment - but hey, in 24 hours we'll know the winner, and as long it's not gonna be Jacob or Sampson, I'll be happy!
DQ is really nothing special, and I don´t think he will win.
I think we have had enough drag in ESC. It´s about time that we concentrate about the songs. Stig Rossen or Me and My would be a good choise to send to Finland. But there are many good songs in the danish final this year!
i dont think its just a case of how well or badly DQ sings , i just dont think the melody is as good as la dolce vita or absolutely fabulous
Many of you compares DQ to After Dark and Queentastic because of the drag teame.
But there is a difference. Neither After Dark nor Queentastic had very good voices, and they stripped on stage.
DQ ´sings fantastic and doesnt strip on stage.
Must also say, that i love all 3 songs 
And i really hope that DQ will win the danish final. There is allready a lot of rock songs participating everywhere, so I dont hope Jacob Andersen will win, even though i think his song is great.
Me and My dont sing very well, and the song is just like the one from Selma in 2005. If Me and My wins, i dont think we will be in the final.
But after all, none of us can do anything than hope that our favorite will win, and then just hope for the best. Its not the end of the world.
I agree with you Morten. Jacob Andersen is obviously one of the biggest favourites to win, and which seem to be the hard one to beat - almost like Carola in last year's Swedish final. And rightly so, his song is rocky, powerful and very proffesional. And at the same time also catchy and commerical. Well performed too.
Quite many ESC-fans are also not at all found of the idea of a drag act to represent a country. I am one of them. It's not something ESC *needs* to put it that way. And well, all worries for a win for DQ are unecesarry. He didn't even end up in the top 4 in the semi final that qualified directly. So winning on Saturday? Well, might get some fanvotes, but that's not enough to win.
COMMON!!!!!!! DQ IS FANTASTIC!!!!!!!!!!! DQ TO EUROVISION!!!!!!!!!!!! =)

Jeroen, Joergen has taken part in the Danish Melodi gran prix without his brother twice before so nothing strange in that ;-) in 1989 he took wart with the song "Fugle" (Birds) and in 1990 with "Berlin"
Rwally, does nobody knwo why Jörge Olsen sings this time without his brother? They always appeared together. Is his brother (niels) ill or busy with something else?
It is true that ESC is not only for young people. I liked very much the Swedish MF entry with the 3 old ladys. And what to say about Carola, she participated 3 times: as girl, as young woman and as middel-age woman. A typical example of quality above age.
best news i've had all day to see DQ in the final! I know it's camp and gay but I love it. A lot of my gay friends wouldn't though!
just realised the chorus of drama queen , sounds like the song "maniac"
actually its highly unlikely that DQ or jorgen olsen can win since they couldnt even make the top places in the semi finals. i agree that the standard has been very high, its nice that so many countries are going for semi finals and final format nowadays.

I myself, is a p3 listener, so i voted in "my group" for DQ... i hope for DQ or James Sampson to win - wouldnt complain about Rossen either i think... maybe even Me & My... wow... cant remember when we last had this high standard in DMGP!

Because the artist is a drag queen? I find that quite a homophobic remark... not to mention the other stuff you wrote! I could say a couple of things in response sweetie, but I won't. Besides, I can tell you're not my type 
Anyway, back to the real topic here - the song for Denmark.
"Drama Queen" is ok, but nothing more than that. Just wait till After Dark pop up in MF in a short while and you'll see what a real top drag act is all about. I'd already put my money on it that they'll have a killer of a tune!
Personally I'd like to see Annette Heick go to ESC because "CPH Airport" is a fab song... but my gutt feeling tells me it will be Me&My, who IMO have a rather disappointing song

ur right about lt united and silvia night. drag is fine if its done well, i just dont think DQ do it very well
Two are stronger than one for Helsinki (hopefully), but overall above usual NF final standard. DQ and James if they want a retro sounding entry.
i think DQ will end up winning all the peopel who voted rock in the semis will be overcome by those who tune into the final and DQ will suceed, well i hope anyway
DQ are just not good enough, its passe, and was done much better by after dark
