The Lyrics of Molitva Lyrics: S.M.Mare Music: Vladimir Graic

Ni oka da sklopim,
postelja prazna tera san,
a život se topi
i nestaje brzo, k'o dlanom o dlan.
K'o razum da gubim,
jer stvarnost  i ne primećujem,
još uvek te ljubim,
još uvek ti slepo verujem.
K'o luda, ne znam kuda,
ljubavi se nove bojim,
a dane, žive rane,
više ne brojim.
Molitva, kao žar na mojim usnama je,
molitva, mesto reči samo ime tvoje.
(I) Nebo zna, kao ja,
koliko puta sam ponovila,
to nebo zna, baš kao ja,
da je ime tvoje moja jedina
molitva.
Al Bogu ne mogu
lagati sve dok se molim,
a lažem ako kažem
da te ne volim.

Serbia will participate in the semi final show in Helsinki.

@ stevan popovic

nemoj da se salis tako surovo...to cak nije ni smijesno...don't even joke with that...it's so cruel to expect that montenegro will go better than serbia...jadno...i understand that you're first time on eurovision, that there is maybe a kind of big thing for the state or something like that, but honestly...song is stupid...horrible...read a bit stuffs on forums about montenegro song...even i spoke with faddy, and he looks looks like a good man, sorry...no final for mng this year...

As first, you are from Balkan too. And I don't think people from there are stupid. It is not certainly just political issues.Of course Bosnian or Croatian people will vote for Serbian song rather than for Armenian song(for example) because they understand the language and the song has better potential to impress them more than Armenian song about which, they have no clue what the song is about. The music is also important, but words are too.So don't always think it's just politics.

Let's make some predictions: Serbia will get this many points from following countries:

Bosnia and Herzegovina : 12
Croatia: 12
Montenegro : 12 ( if "voting" is not politically disturbed)
Macedonia : 10 or 12 ( As Greeks or Albanians might take the key role)
Slovenia :10
Greece : 10
Turkey : 6
Bulgaria : 6
Germany : 5
Russia : 7
Ukraine : 6
Spain: 3

...???

jojjjjjj dokle ljudi?!! LOL stop fighting over cr*p. unlucky for us that we are all so split up but lucky when it comes to eurovision lol (somehow ex yu becomes stara yuga again). GOOD LUCK TO EVERYONE and as a proud serb NATURALLY im gonna support my country but no way am i gonna bash another contestant+ their song. support whoever u want - personally i think MOLITVA rox :) and if you don't like a song you're entitled to your opinion but don't overdo it.

sve NAJbolje komsijama BiH, Makedonija, Hrvatska, Crna Gora & Slovenija (jesam li zaboravila ikoga?) Eurovision 2008 na BALKANU!

and what is the Albanian population in Serbia by the way?
It s weird that every year Albania qualifies for the final they get the 12 from us and dont think that happens with you guys.Or maybe since you guys massively vote for either Croatia or Bosnia every year that beats the Albanian population voting for the Albanian entry?

Tal Karo [38014]
Sun 11 Mar 2007 13:35:40

i think you guys should stop comparing Lane Moje to Molitva or stop sending posts of type such as "if Lane did not better then that with that song then this hasn't even close chance to it bla bla"
Every ESC is different then the previous. With all these crappy songs maybe she will have the chance to reach second or third or fourth and what is the f.... difference between all this.
And i am sure Marija did not decide to sing a ballad cuz Lane and Lejla were ballads.
The way she looks?
She looks just fine,100000^10000 times better then the guys from Helsinki last year. Will that make any difference now?
I like Molitva a lot maybe as much as the Slovenian entry maybe a little less then it but since the people in Maceodnia dont worship Opera singers and music then i can be sure then the 10th or 12th will go to Molitva all depending whether Albania will qualify for the final or not (lol)
So good luck Marija and Marija

My dear naighbours you'll get point from Macedonia that's for sure but a little advice the same i posted on bosnia's site..you can't go better with balades than you did with Lane moje..that's evergrin and probably there will be no country EVER which will do a better song..so don't work against yourself sending the same songs every year!everyone of them will be comared will lane moje and at the end as good as they are they will end bad..this is a good song very powerful voice of Marija but..there is but due to the reasons i mentioned above..and it's not that you hadn't coise..Negativ were good had a good song, that guy with Bjeli Grad, the 4 girls with Sama(although their performance was bas but the song was good)..or even Blizanci..copy of Flamingosi but still it's something different..and if i'm sorry for anything that's because Europe didn't see Flamingosi..they would win for sure!!
kisses from macedonia and think about this!
p.s. and Darko S. i agree 100% about macedonia's entry too!!!

Come on people, what's going on? Personally, I beleive that she had the best song and the best vocal performance.I didn't hear Slovenian and Macedonian representatives, but Marija's song is has better chances than songs of BiH, Croatia and especially Montenegro.BiH song is a nice song, but something is missing, which is what Molitva has- the variation in rhytm, and a significant change in instruments before repeating the core part.
And about looks: This is the competition for the best song, not for the best look. However, many people will vote according to the representatives' outlooks. Let's see if this can be a success!

And hi to all my brothers, Serbs,Montenegrins, Bosnian muslims and Croats.

I think that Maria has vocal capacity which cannot be compared to any other Beovizija contestant. Her voice is very powerfull and carries the energy! Even tho she is not the preetiest girl in the world, her voice is making it up for her looks... I dont think that people wanna see very HOT GIRLS singing anymore... I dont think its important how somoene looks in these kind of competitions... LORDI is the example... they looked absolutely horrible... and even without masks they look bad... but they won!

If you carefully listen other countries songs... you wont find many singers who will be able to compete with her vocal power!

Possibly but so is "Mojot svet" compared to "Od nas zavisi". It's all subjective.

Well chosen, Serbia. I was in the hall at the big night and she was definitely my favourite!
And about her looks: well, of course she will never become Miss World, but Chiara won't be either and the Olsen's would never win a male's beauty contest. And this could also work the other way, some fans are convinced about the power of beauty on stage, but maybe people would rather vote for normal people who look like their neighbours.
I am happy I'm still able to concentrate on the music and her great voice. Goooo Marija!!!!!

I did not make Maria winner, I even think it is not the best song- my favourite was Negativ. And to Edin, you are not hat sharp as you are in your comments, people are interested in the Sweedish final because Sweden gives good songs, Serbian enteries were good, so they are qurious abot this years representative.
And if you want about politics, this years Maria for Bosnia is the first representative from Serbian ethnic group for Bosnia after one and only Maja Tatic few years ago!! Feminem won in 2005 aldough Tinka was clear favorite by the audience but was outwoted by the other two ethnic groups. And that is ok??? You had to chose a singer, without competition so that serbian artist could represent you, aldough they are constitutive people of B & H??!!

And now you are good with Luka because you need support, even if he is sugesting you that we should stick together and wote for each other??!! C` mon

Great song Serbia, one of the best this year and you guys stop fighting .
No wonder that each Balkan country thread has so many comments - it's because you are constantly arguing with each other .
