Does a late 1 really help?
Some thoughts about the draw
There are a lot of assumptions about the draw. Most people assume that a late draw is better, which is only partially true. In 2001 Tanel Padar & Dave Benton & 2XL performed 20th of 23, winning with Everybody. The next year Marie N salsa’d her way to first place with I wanna, having performed 23rd of 24. But they’re the exceptions.

@ sander arusoo: yes. (All countries can vote in the semifinal, unless it has been changed from last year, which I doubt... And rightly so.)
now i have a question and i´l hope someone can answer it so : does those countries that are in final because last year(like england every year) does those countries that are in final vote fore countries that are in semifinal when picking countries that pass ?
Yes, I agree it's a bit funny to keep bringing up the issue of the draw, but now what with all NF's finished and the actual finals still far ahead, there's not that much else esc-related to discuss I guess...
@ Miceal O'Kane: On 10th May, most likely...! When do you expect, then?!
I don't understand these queries about the stage... Has it been revealed earlier in other years, then? (This is the first time for me as a 'real' esc-fan...)
@ This must be this first time I agree with Peter Eriksson
: "It's unbeliveble that Estonia and Latvia won in 2001 and 2002 (they wasn't the worst songs but they did not deserve to win) If the songs "Everybody" and "I wanna" competed in this year, they would probably end up in the bottom!
"
lets hope D'NASH win for the first time on spot number 2
I have my top ten ready!
Malta
Iceland
Russia
Romania
Serbia
Lithuania
Greece
Turkey
Estonia
Poland
With so many entrants it's probably best to run either early (when people are still awake) or late (when you're still fresh in voters memories).
Of course for the best chance of winning, keep your neigbours happy or export yourselves across Europe. Not that I'm a bitter Brit, we only turn up for a laugh these days. Some salted nuts sir?
When can we see the 2007 stage?
Cant wait!!!
kenan will shake helsinki up with this amazing and cool song

Turkey won in 2003 performing 4th so it doesnt matter...
Of course it's true
AND MOST STUPID THING IT'S ON JESC
Spain performed 16th(last) and won,i don't know Belarus,Russia ,always last in draw and always victory... stupid
mer maid:
I agree with you!
By the way! It's unbeliveble that Estonia and Latvia won in 2001 and 2002 (they wasn't the worst songs but they did not deserve to win), France should have won in 2001 and 2002.
If the songs "Everybody" and "I wanna" competed in this year, they would probably end up in the bottom!
with the new two semifinal system next year it will be mutch better..
A late draw won't save the UK that's for sure...
If a song is good, it doesn't matter where it is situated!
