Frauen regiern die Welt #7 in Germany

Germany: Roger Cicero in the charts

Roger Cicero's latest album is moving up in the European Top 100 Album charts which are ruled by the likes of Joss Stone, Gwen Stefani and Nelly Furtado whose album has sat at #1 for the last four weeks. Cicero's album 'Männersachen' holds the 17th position across Europe, while his single Frauen regier'n die Welt holds the #7 spot on the German charts.

Roger Cicero's album jumped from #52 to #17 in the European Top 100 Chart this week, while it climbed up to the third position in Germany.  His single Frauen regier'n die Welt entered the German singles charts at #7. Last week, Monrose's national final entry Even heaven cries entered the charts at the same position and has now jumped by one position to #6.

Cicero will perform Frauen regiern die Welt (Women rule the world) on Germany's behalf in the next Eurovision Song Contest.

Sinatra in German?
Well, I love it.

Well done Germany. Not a single German entry recently one could describe as dull. Always refreshing, and a different style, including the pompous Corinna May stomp. Great stuff.

I love this song!!!
Its an oasis of class and style in a sea of mediocrity and freaky acts trying to pass as "avan garde"
Good luck Roger - Good luck Germany
You have my 12 points!!!

Germany will shine this year, there song is one of a kind!
They perform after Russia, and the russian performance will just be some kind of silly "porn-act", nothing special.
So I think Germany will get a lot of votes from people (like me) who are tired of those usual "porn-acts" we see in all editions of the ESC!

Germany got one of my votes!

@Luka Andreev
Why is so hard to believe that Roger is Romanian, too. First of all, he son't look like a german, he look more like a Romanian men. His father, Eugen Ciceu (from here come Cicero), born in Cluj-Napoca (Romania) in 1940 and was a jazz ans classic music pianist, but he lived in Germany. Eugen died in 1997 (I think) in Switzerland where he moved with his wife in 1989.

His father is a great Romanian musician, so Germany can expect some points from Romania. ;)

Great song, hope Germany will do well and get the votes they so deserve this year. I'm so glad there is at least one member of the Big Four that chooses quality over popular trash.

It's only great.

Texas Lightning was a fairytale and it's clear that Roger Cicero rather won't repeat it. But if he does at least a bit like them - and it really seems so -, everything is okay.

Germany's entries in 2004 and 2006 were number one in the German charts, 2007 now is a Top 10-entry - this is great! We show that we take the competition serious...

Heidi:

You´re so right. Sarbel´s song is a copy of Sakis Rouvas and Helena. And his live performance in the greece final includes elements from other ESC-performances.

hey christos, are you able to have a look into the future ?? or why are you saying ´germany o points´ ??
are you thinking that your mixture between sakis rouvas and helena paparizuo has any chance to win ??
to say it with texas lightnings words NO NO NEVER.. ;)

This is a great song, especially for those who take the trouble to look up the translation of the lyrics. I don't believe there are many of us who did that, but I like the idea of hearing Germany sing (surprisingly) in German anyway.
BTW, at first I thought Monrose were a far better idea for Germany, but now I'm beginning to like this entry quite a lot. All the best of luck in Helsinki, and congratulations to Germany for really making an effort this year!
