New album on the way
Dervish to promote their Eurovision entry!
Dervish recorded the promotional videoclip of They can't stop the Spring in an non-denominational primary school in Wicklow. The children featuring in the video are from all over the world, thus reflecting the inclusive theme of the song. Dervish will soon start working on their performance for the Eurovision Song Contest final to be held in Helsinki on the 12th of May. Their new album is also on the way.

If this remembers Titanic to you... you have not listened the same soundtrack that I have LOL
yes, a magnificent song. I like Celtic music.
And Maybe I'm too optimistic, but I don't think that the eastern voting block will affect it. Last year nobody thought that Ireland was going to pass the Semi and, you see, it was in the TOP 10 in the Final. This year is much better, and it will do well, probably, in the Scandinavian countries and in other places where Cletic music likes, such as France, Spain and the United Kingdom.
Good luck to my number 4!
i think the references to the eastern block within the song and the concept of the song will help a little when we are looking for votes. i think that they should publicise what the title of the song means when in interviews.. it would definately help......
great song though. think it has a great chance
Am I the only one who thinks this song is too good for Eurovision? Excellent song but it won't do terribly well because of all the eastern neighourly voting. To have this classy song in the same contest as the UK one is an insult!
I'm sorry to say that I don't like Irelands entry this year. The first time I heard it I thought it sounded like a reject from the Titanic soundtrack, and the more I listened to it I began to wish I had been on the Titanic!!
This probably would have won back in the 90's but not this year
I like this song very much. Hope to see Ireland in top 5. Good luck. Best wishes from Serbia!
@blue alibi
Surely that's physically impossible?
HER VOICE SUCKS
@Flying the flag for you
What I have a problem with are the large chunk of ESC fans who dismiss slower songs. I have no problem whatsover with up beat songs. What I do have a problem with is rubbish and there's no shortage of it this year, the UK song included, and no I dont want something to suck on before landing, it would leave a bad taste in my mouth! All you have to do is read the hundreds of comments about the UK entry on various ESC sites........I rest my case.
I really do not think Ireland will do well this year. Maybe I am wrong.
My Eurovision list of favourites this year:
1 Malta
2 Estonia
3 Poland
4 Norway
5 Russia
6 Bosnia
7 Sweden
8 Belarus
9 Greece
10 Germany
Ireland is in my top 3. Can win this year.
I wish, Lisa, who lives in Ireland a good day ... LOL ...
@ Flying the flag
not all of us Eurofans want to sit and listen trashy uptempo-cr+p at Eurovision 'it is supposed to be a song contest and not a kindergarden party. And hey, that you like Ukraine says deff enough about the differences in our taste... Wish Lisa who lives in Ireland a nice day - hopefully she will open a betting company soon because she seems to be a little Cassandra...
Ireland position 15 to 24
@ Juan Justo ... I like your dry humour, buddy .. LOL
Well, if Lisa, who lives in Ireland doesn't like it must be a "boring ballad" and the UK song must therefore be a work of genius!
One of the best entries this year: nice music, nice lyrics...Hope to see it in the TOP 10! Good luck from Spain
Not the best. A bit twee but it has grown on me slightly. Don't think it will come close to winning as apart from the tin whistle bit, it doesn't have an immediate and lasting impact. Think it will be quickly forgotten.
i loved sarah as well she was fantastic
STORY ON SCOOCHS PLAGIARISM CAN BE FOUND ON OIKOTIMES.COM NOW!!
garry chelsea:
I have react many times that The Arks song sounds like "Love grows (where my Rosemary goes)"!
And I wish that Sarah Dawn Finer should represent Sweden!
i know its on pandoras site but ive not seen it mentioned anywhere else, except here, i suppose its free advertising for pandora if people start listening to her songs
hmm Aftonbladet (not the most reliable i know) and its on both swedish and englsih wikipedia. so i guess it can be totally false.
big news where? what sites are mentioning it?
i find it strange that ESCTODAY hasnt wrote about the plagiarism accusations against scooch yet. its big and interesting news..
@ peter erikkson maybe people will realise that swedens entry by the ark sounds exactly like love grows where my rosemary goes, its also sounds like plagerisnm
excellent entry from Ireland, reminds me of the good old days of eurovision when quality mattered!
Go Ireland!
Canada sends it's love ...
