Elitsa and Stoyan's promo tour continues

Bulgaria: Water travels to Malta and Andorra

After Greece, Italy, Croatia and Serbia Elitsa Todorova and Stoyan Yancoulovic will be heading for Malta and Andorra, two of the less visited countries that no Bulgarian representative has ever included in their promo tour before.

In Malta, where they will be staying from 19 to 22 April as guests of the Public Broadcasting Services Malta, MTPBS, they will be interviewed by major local media. On the 20th they will be singing Water live at a special party organised by OGAE Malta. Two days later, on the 22, they will appear live on the Eurovision Fever TV show.

Next stop in this year's major promo tour is Andorra. Elitsa and Stoyan have received an official invitation by ADRTVA / Radio i Television d'Andorra.

WOW! what an entry: dynamic, folklore, modern at the same time and with a lot of percussions...I think we have here one of the possible winning songs...actually i still like Maltas vertigo a bit more, but there is no simlarity between theses two entries: the only similarity is that they are both good, and they both would deserve to win the whole contest. Good luck BULGARIa this year!!!

I actually like this song. It sounds very much to be an eastern Macedonian dialect which Elitsa is singing in too.

Good luck Bulgaria!

Good song but she needs to stop screaming so much.

@Angel Cast You forget to mention in your statistcs about Finland/Estonia that Finland gave to Switzerland 10p in 2005. Switzerland was actually represented by the best Estonian band Vanilla Ninja ;) It is sad the Ninjas were not elected to represent Estonia this year but at least they will not be competitors of Stoyan & Elitsa :)

To angel cast..
You have written ur prediction of country votes.. According to ur predictions, I guess Serbia wil be the winner with about 300 points? Come on, get realistic. Of course politics affect the voting, however it does not make a country win or stand at the bottom :)
I was so proud in 2004 of my country that we voted for top 10 (except only one country. I dont remember which one) And the country not in top 10(and turkey gave points) was Macedonia which I loved. Love is.. was the name of the song I guess...

You mean Greece is going to give Cyprus 12 and Macedonia zero? How did you work that out?

MIlan S

Well I was more thinking of the fact that both of them are like being hit over the head with a frying pan, rather than anything to do with keynotes and tonics. Gin anyone?

In my opinion it's the worst entry this year! It's not that i dont like this kind of music style but that woman...Her voice hurts my ears, it's like a screaming cat lol! I'm glad it has to perform first, after this entry the contest can really start!

@ Angel Cast

Your "possible points from" list are so based on prejudices.
There's really no logic in many of the cases and just based on the old iron curtain thought.

Poland & Czech Republic giving 12p to Russia? I Don't think so... I do like the russian song persomally but I don't think it will get that many 12p actually and if these where meant to be political, then Poland & Czech Republic would probably NEVER give 12p to Russia.
And I pretty sure tha baltic states would give Ukraine higher points than Russia, since Verka is known in this whole region, Serebro is a whole new project.

Finland 12p to Estonia?? Nah... don't really think so. They may share the same language group but Finland is far closer to the Scandinavian countries in terms of everything actually. Probably 12p to Sweden from Finland. Estonia doesn't have a strong song this year anyways.

The balkan countries will vote for eachother though... that's for sure...

well we can say that your list is 50/50 interesting and 50/50 based on false facts...

@ darko, i agree. for me it isn't even the most important thing which song is going to win the contest. i enjoy it best if there are a lot of different songs that deal with the musical traditions we have (and we have so many!) in an intelligent and innovative way. bucks fizz were good in their days, but that was 25 years ago ... nobody seriously wants to have this kind of music today ... at least i hope so.

Darko S. [38353]
Wed 4 Apr 2007 16:58:53

Togravus: Don't get me wrong, I love a good schlager-belter (the emphasis on "good", of course). But what I like to see more in Eurovision is "the pushing of the envelope", in terms of songwriting. I personally am much more afraid of jurassic, stale songs killing the ESC rather than annoying side effects such as predictable voting. :-)

togravus ceterum [32383]
Wed 4 Apr 2007 16:48:36

omg, darko, are there still people around who are stuck with céline dion and bucks fizz???? we should be careful, then, visiting this site ...
'water' is just the kind of song i want to see and hear at esc: (post)modern in the best way conceivable, ethnic and up to date at the same time. this is a song that has got character .... on the other end of the scale it's switzerland's vampires, completely void of identity ... one could say: bloodless.
