Go Portugal, Go sabrina - your new international version is awesome! url=http://web.tvtel.pt/escportugal/DCInt.mp3]http://web.tvtel.pt/escportugal/DCInt.mp3/url]
Great news, Roy... Anyway, let me tell you that regardless of what people say on this site or someplace else, things are quite unpredictable and many times surprising during and after the show... That's why I think the Portuguese composers, singer and so on should work on the performance, because that's the real deal on the contest as it is now.
Concerning the allegation that this is the best Portuguese entry since 93... Well...
VERY arguable, indeed.
Thank you for your support!
Portugal deserves to be in the final.
Yesterday at the DOuze Points party in London Sabrina received the biggest cheer at the end, and most people gave the thumbs up to this tune. I actually heard people saying that Norway was just a cheap version of the Portuguese entry! In any case, justice has to be made... Has anyone ever seen salsa in Norway?
Sabrina ended up in 13th place, just one point away from the 12th. The presenter said that this was the best entry for Portugal since 1993... arguable, but true.
So, let's all vote for Sabrina. I think a place is the final is fair enough. once in the final, that's a totally different story... but good luck anyway!
Well, I hope the performance on the Semi will be surprising and convincing. With televote, the visual impact is very important.
Good luck, Sabrina.
P.S.: Don't be surprised if Israel wins, this year... Great song, my friends.
Not bad song at all, nice girl but another non-qualifying year for Portugal.
I think that countries as Portugal, the Netherlands, Andorra, Belgium and Austria, for example, need really impressive songs for qualifying.
The example of Portugal is very clear. It only has one neighbor, that doesn't vote it comonly, and even if it has a lot of wonderful culture, it happens the same that with Spain: it has no influence in Europe, but in America. That's why, for winning, Portugal needs not a good song, but a wonderful and unsuperable song. I know this is not fair since the Big Four exists and that most of countries vote for their home-countries, political relations or neighbors, but that's the reality and that's what Portugal and Western Europe has to accept and try tu superate in Eurovision.
I'd love to see Portugal in the Final, of course, but a very clear example of what I've said we have it in 2003 with Rita Guerra. A magnific performance, a wonderful singer and a nice song sung in Portuguese and English... israel made the same in 2005 and became 4th, Portugal, in the bottom in 2003. is this fair? (Very nice song from Israel, yes).
My best wishes to Portugal, and although I think it's not going to pass the Semi, I hope for it for the next year, and visit Lisbon or maybe Oporto!
Sabrina is a sweet girl and the song is catchy. But where is the FIRE? None of the 3 (Portugal, Spain and Norway) songs with the latino-sound this year has no spark IMO. Sorry...but good luck Portugal!
Portugal to the final!!!! By the way, can anybody tell me why so many people are so excited about the Turkish and the Spanish song this year? They both doesn't sound that great to me.
Listen to the non-official video and say if Portugal does not deserve to be in the finals.

I completely agree with you Tower.
I like this song , it is happy and I'm sure it will go into final .

Thank you for the video link! With the video you can hear a new version of the song, where the backup singers were either changed, or toned-down, therefore allowing Sabrina's voice to come through better. When I first heard the song, I though that the backup singers were not a good fit for Sabrina, so I'm glad to know that something was done about the backups.
I think this change improved the song a lot. With a good live performance, this new version of the song could reach the finals. This song is in my top ten for the semifinals, and also in my top ten overall. Good luck Portugal.
Good luck Sabrina!

People, calm down! It's great that you support Portugal that really deserves to win after having tried 40 years. I like the Portuguese entry ( although Portugal had better songs) and I'm almost fanatic in loving Portugal as a bautiful country with great culture, but please, accept if someone has another opinion and doesn't like Sabrinas song!
she's so cute!GO SABRINA!
The song sounds like in the old good times of ESC. And it's sung in Portuguese (not in English), which I appreciate. Nevertheless, the singer could have a little bit better voice. Good luck to Portugal!
Oh, for heaven's sake... will you stop with that "sounds dated" thing? Jazz and especially swing also sound, but that doesn't make them bad, quite on the contrary! And if it was dated, it wouldn't sell like hell in Portugal.
hpe Portugal will qualify this year . song is quite dated but i like it .
Portugal to the final!

This is a place to share your opinions; therefore, I can come in anywhere I'd like. I'm not the one generalizing (and yes, it was generalizing) by saying "If you don't like Portugal’s song you must like this and that song" which was a completely unnecessary thing to say. And he’s saying the truth? Uh, I can list plenty of people who aren’t fond of Portugal’s entry this year and can’t stand UK and Ukrainian entry this year.
Zippy,
Nevermind if my argument is pointless, it may not apply to you in particular (congrats in that case) but it does apply to many other people.
No wonder we don't like people like you Zippy. Your comment says it all. He's not generalizing, hes's saying the truth. Don't like it, don't come here!!!

Those who criticize this song are probably the ones who like the Ukrainian and British song, that says it all really. If this song was representing a "loved" country like Sweden, then we wouldn't hear such negative comments.
WTF? I hate the UK entry, and the Ukrainian entry still does nothing for me. And yet I hate the Portuguese entry as well. How about you don't freaking generalize people just because they have different opinions not at all close to yours? And "loved" Sweden is getting a lot of crap about their entry this year as well, so your argument is pointless.
If you want Portugal to actually do well how about have it send a singer that can actually sing with an above average song?
