Nine million euros raised in 2006
Ruslana continues successful charity project
Last year, Ruslana was responsible for the Ukrainian part of the project- Chernobyl 2006 - Children of Spring. The entire project managed to raise 9 million euros through a TV marathon and the sales of a special compilation album by all the participating artists. Part of the money was used to purchase medical equipment for clinics specialising in the treatment of children with birth defects as a result of the nuclear accident in Chernobyl. This year, the charity tour will start on 14 April and it will include 15 destinations all over Germany including Manheim, Leipzig, Munich, Hamburg, Bremen, and Berlin, among others. Artists from all over the world will be joining Ruslana on stage, some of them from China, Israel, Peru, India and South Korea. The aim of the 2007 project, is to raise funds for charitable causes in these countries. Ruslana's personal goal is to raise money for the children's clinics in Kyiv, Dnipropetrovsk and Lviv.
Ruslana said: "Participation of our country in this project, as well as in the concert tour, has a positive impact on a mutual attention of the European community and Ukraine. Due to Peter Maffay we have a good example of effective social and cultural cooperation between countries. Projects like this contribute considerably to the Euro integration processes in Ukraine".

She is my favourite winner in ESC.

It was obvious that "Wild dances" was a winner back in -04. It made too much of an impact (in the semifinal) NOT to be. Ruslana together with Lordi and Helena are the most exciting winners of ESC in this millenium IMO. 
For me Ruslana was the best winner so far. After then and even before her I didn't have so clear leader. But after her performance I already new that this is the winner and without doubts...

Go Ruslana You're the best... I had the oportunity to see her live a couple of times performing, and she really impresses me!! Her style is so original and gives me the urge to get up and dance!! lol The charity thing is absolutley great!! Keep up the good work!!
If breaking the stage is the criterion to win ,then Todomondo will win this year as they have already broken the stage in Turkey
Wisely said, Mer Maid. In most cases truth is very simple. I had Ruslana in last place because of the deficits you've mentioned.

I'm not a singer competing in ESC 
She could not manage to sing and dance at the same time . If you can not sing and dance then you should either dance or sing.
Doing both can cause terrible performance.
Anyway she won,no need to have an arguement on that!

let's be fair, think verka's danzing is 1000 times better than wild dances for me... she'd better keep on her charity work than returning to esc lol

Verka has a lovelier song, a sort of lullaby compared to Wild dances.
