Chariots of Fire released on 14th May

BWO score UK chart success

A week before their first United Kingdom live performance and Bodies Without Organs have scored their first chart success with their song Chariots of fire. The song has reached number 20 on the commercial pop dance chart this week and is now one of the most requested videos on several of the music video channels in the country.

The song was released last October in homeland, Sweden and featured on the critically acclaimed album, Halcyon Days. They won the Swedish Grammy award for Band of the year in 2006 as well as winning the esctoday.com awards for 2006 National Final performance of the year and National Final Band of the year.

They have received international attention and have fan clubs in Russia and Germany. The band's music is described as electro-pop and is seen by British music experts as the kind of thing style is expected grow in popularity through 2007-8.

Chariots of fire will be officially on sale in the United Kingdom on 14th May.

I heard all songs and besides our lovely Oivia from Malta I think the UK,Norway and Romania stand a good chance of winning.
Good luck Olivia malta all behind you and a very big thank you to the maltese contingent with Robert Abela first and foremost.

B.W.O is Swedens best pop group! Not since Roxette have any group made so many great pop/dance tracks in Sweden! Aleaxander Bard is a great song writer [Army of lovers was funny, but not as good as BWO] and Martin has a great pop voice. This is what good popmusic would be all about. Lovethe synthpop sound. First album was totally superb! Second album was good, but to many balades.

Anders Hansson produce the songs togther with Alexander. He also produce the two last albums by Swedens 2004 Eurovision Song Contest Entry - Lena Philipsson. If u like "It Hurts" and BWO u should check out Lenas songs "Lena anthem", "Delirium", "Han jobbar i affär" and "Sover Hellre Ensam".
He have also produce hits for Alcazar

I hope BWO get some UK chart success!

as much as i like BWO and hope they eventually get REAL success in the UK, it really is pushing it to say a low position in an obscure dance chart is 'scoring UK chart success'.

Their video is on The Hits (Uk music channel) - I just saw it about an hour ago and I thought "B.W.O.? THE BWO? No way! Surely esctoday would have reported something like this!?!?!?" but I see that they have :)

I hope BWO will participate in the Melodifestivalen one more time - and if and when that happens, BWO MUST WIN! Or - the WILL win! I hope the swedish people really regret sending Carola last year... if we had sent BWO, Eurovision Song Contest would have taken place in Stcokholm this year.

Let's not get too excited - The Commercial Dance Chart is compiled from charts submiited by DJ's who play "commercial dance" or pop. Record companies use the chart to get an idea of how successful their promotion is and for an indication to what sales might be. Previously Sixteen Tons Of Hardware was promoted in the U.K. but never commercially released here.

Personally I absolutely love BWO. Their last album Halycon Days and the dance version Halycon Nights are my favourite albums of last year.

if anyone is into swedish pop here, alexander bard and marina schiptjenko together with mattias lindblom formed once the awesome band vacuum. their music was so special back then (called symphonic-pop) but now, this bwo is the worst project of alexander i think with cheesy crap songs... just pathetic :(

20 in the charts?

thats wrong!

Maybe its number 20 in the airplay chart? or the dance chart? or something...

Its deffo not number 20 in the official singles chart!

Though i hate the fact that they use trapped trained dolphins in their video of chariots of fire, which i find pathetic being an animal rights supporter, their high score in uk charts proves one thing...that melodifestival2006 had great names on it but sweden went for the worst of them....carola
