In 2004 the Portuguese fans predicted the victory of Serbia & Montenegro and the second place of Ukraine, though in the actual final the voting was the other way around.
In 2005 they predicted the victory of Hungary and the 6th place to Greece, which was the real winner.
In 2006 it was predicted the victory of Belgium, which did not make it to the final, whereas Finland (the real winner) was predicted in 9th place.
Let's wait and see what this year's results will bring.
In the same meeting, the OGAE members voted for the Portuguese entry at the 2007 OGAE Video Contest (Mónica Sintra performing "Esqueci de Lembrar de Mim”) and the 2007 OGAE Song Contest (Rosa Negra with “Fado Ladino”).

Portuguese fans have predicted well, as in 2006: Spain 9th, that means, the winner.
I'm shure SLOVENIA will win this year!
Greetings from Norway
Slovenia is one of my favourites. It's very classy and better than many songs of this year!
Slovenia wont even get any points from Spain and Portugal, so what's the point of all this?
That's a pretty good prediction, i would think... The Spanish prediction sucks, though!
Greetings from Macedonia!
ok and how about Greece?

@ Hinz und Kunz, glad you did, but many people say things like that really meaning them, my comment was mainly for them (although I took the 'grandma' from your post)...

@Melina
I meant "grandma" in a ironic way. Of course there's NO age limit and singing is not a question of age, but of talent.
Sorry if my comment offended somebody...
Uh... It's catchy, fresh, original, but not the best on this year's contest, in my opinion. Probably Israel, but I haven't listened to the songs already on the final.
Anyway, can anyone give the Slovenian singer's phone number? I want to take part on her next video..................
Nobody likes the Israeli song...
Israel 12 points... but, apparently, that's just me.
As for 2007 OGAE Song Contest , I think Portugal has a big chance this year of wining the contest with Rosa Negra with Fado Ladino:

> What's so great about the turkish entry?
Absolutely nothing. Diaspora voting might get it out of the semi-final, but don't expect to see it anywhere near the top of the scoreboard on Saturday.
No wonder Portugal always does so poorly in the contest - they have no taste.
After this video I thought... how nice it would be if this wins... and after video I only say... O My God... WHY?
I keep my fingers crossed for Slovenia.... but, it's never going to happen for them!
slovenian song has to be top3 its a class above most songs this year
omer naber
naber means 'what's up!?' in turkish lol
How refreshing to see Slovenia receive some glory. It's a fantastic song, and I'd be thrilled if it won. The video is great too. She looks to be very pleased with hersellf, and who can blame her after she'd been rolling around with that gorgeous man. I have to agree that Switzerland look to be the most obvious favourite as the song is memorable and lends itself to a big performance. But it's pretty wide open i think.
@ Barba papa
My tipp for this year's winner is France and this would be really deserved.
@ Urska
I don't think Omar Naber was robbed. And Anzej Dezan of course not, too. Anzej had a terrible piece of Eurotrash and Omar Naber had this ugly, screaming woman with him on stage. Slovenians robbed themselves a better placing twice in a row when they didn't pick Sasa Lendero with Metulj or Mandoline...
Good taste for Portugal. Slovenia is one of the best songs and it has nothing to do with Ukraine that is the favourite to win in some polls. The Ukranian song is something to laugh at, nothing else.
We should not confuse comedy with good quality eurovision songs. If Ukraine has a high punctuation this year, the quality of the contest will decrease.
That's such a great support from Portugal, obrigado!
Slovenian song this year is very warm, it's little dramatic and with Alenka's fantastic voice and appearance I am sure people around Europe will notice Slovenian performance this year, hopefully also vote for Cvet z juga and help us finally reach the final. I am more confident about seeing Slovenia in final than previous three years although Omar deserved to be in final, we were robbed in 2005, like it or not but that's the truth. Such disaster shouldn't happen again this year!
Lots of sucess to Portugal this year, also a very warm entry with charming singer, I really hope to see both Slovenia and Portugal in final and good luck to all other unlucky countries that never qualify, this should be our year!
Better Slovenia to win than Ukraine !!!
France FIFTH again
!!!!!
Good taste you have, portuguese friends
.
Oh, I really wish they'd be right about Slovenia winning... But otherwise... their "prediction" doesn't unfortunately seem very realistic, as many have said
@ LOL John Redpath: "I predict the UK will give Poland 12 points since half of Poland seem to be living in the UK now"
@ Hinz und Kunz - "Scandinavian grandma" - at 43 she's quite young to be a grandma... I don't like the song either, but funny how some people think there's a maximum age limit to participating in esc, from the criticism towards Eirikur for example - just for your infomation, there isn't!! Not everyone has to be under 18 (like that Polish child), you know...
@last diva on this planet
A few weeks before, when the participants of festival da cancao were revealed you said exactly: "Uh I hate Portugal"
How comes this change of mind?
@ Hinz und Kunz
Well said.
