Cyprus first to the final

OGAE France predicts Switzerland to win!

OGAE France held their spring meeting this past Sunday at Le Tango Club in Paris. The well-attended meeting was highlighted by the presence of Sandra Kim and French Head of Delegation Bruno Berberes. The members had the chance to vote for this year’s participating songs and the results predict Cyprus, Serbia and Switzerland in the first three spots of the semi final and the latter to win the final in Helsinki.

The songs were ranked from 1-10, but France was not included in the voting for obvious reasons. A poll was organised that showed that French fans are quite confident of a good outcome for Les Fatals Picards. 39,2% believe that France will be between 6th and 10th, 27,5% think they will be from 11th to 15th and 21,6% believe that L’amour a la française will end up 1st to 5th. Sandra Kim, the 1986 Eurovision Song Contest winner, was a special guest of OGAE France for the evening. She was happy to answer the fans’ questions and she performed her winning entry J’aime la vie, followed by a medley of Eurovision favourites including Save your kisses for me and Ne partez pas sans moi. Bruno Berberes, the Head of the French delegation was also present. He revealed information on the French selection this year, offering the audience a glimpse of some of the submitted songs that did not make it to the Top 10 of “Et si on gagnait?”

well hopefully the French had more taste deciding their own band... anyway I don't think any poll can show the real trend, that what makes this year very exciting: a lot of different styles that appeal different kinds of fans.

I have just read the message that King Kong the ignorand had sent saying that Evridiki counts the french words she has learned... Well King Kong keep on sending those idiotic statements making a fool of yourself. For your information ignorand geek, Evridiki has studied in Paris years ago, music, theatre, dance etc... and was the only foreign student to have entered that collage. If she starts counting french words she will make you have a headache you ignorand mouth

Glad to see the French have enough sense to put Malta in 13th place in the semi-final (maybe still too high, though).

This prediction doesnt reflect reality.Switzerland 1st? and Cyprus 2nd?

Cyprus is only in 2nd place because it's in French.
The song sucks.
So does Switzerland. The English in the song is beyond-amateur but I'm afraid it will make it through and other songs will suffer for it :(

It'll be last year's Turkey.

i cant believe you like this song..it really sounds like a cheap pop production of the mid 90s...so i suppose this one seems new or appealing to the very young voters among us..i think these are the voters who made this stupid lordis song win and the same ones will vote this year for ukraines verka or for anothwer clown of the contest..so the bit older ones and with a slight better musical taste we have to vote massively for some serious and good ntries: for serbia, bosnia, malta, (even the cypriot entry is more intersting than the swiaa or some other empty song), even for germany!! oh god, my mobile bill after the contest is gonna rise so hiiiighh :-(

guys if you like the female vocals in bobo's tunes, then you can order his most successful 90s albums with even more beautiful female voices. 'dance with me' (1993), 'there's a party' (1994) and 'world in motion' (1996) :D
ahh good old days but times have changed... go kenan go verka! :D

@drusus
100% agree !!! this cheap 90s eurodance tune should not win! i used to listen to bobo when i was a kid (anyway, his songs were better back then lol) but since children and teenagers are the greatest part of this televoting system, i fear it can win :(

The Swiss victory will also provide a very important media relevance to the ESC. And if Switzerland wins, I am thinking about to go to the contest. It's only 8-10 hours by car from Barcelona !!

What makes Swiss song special is the female vocal it has.I have no idea who is singing but she is the one making me listen to it again and again, not DJ Bobo!

The video of the song is cool,I mean all the dancing stuff in it.If they perform like they did in the video,i think they can win!

ireland going to do alot better than lot of people here seem to think. its just going to surprise everyone. its like our song last year...... was considered a rank outsider and everyone was saying it wouldnt even get through the semis...it did and ended up in top ten. Ireland is the dark horse this year....oh and btw most eurovision fans and audience are actually in their 20s and 30s no their teens..... most irish teens wouldnt even know what eurovision is......... sorry but its not the thing your average teenage boy is going to either admit or be seen watching!!!

Horrible.....it could happen but its a real bad, non quality song from the jESC. If dated 90s Euro - Trash wins, the ESC is dead or at least serious damaged. We had Lordi, ok - good for Finland after all these years but noe its time for a serious winner again. Don`t understand his supporter : Switzerland, Vampires...hello ? That`s a bad joke. Whach out, after a Bobo victory, Dj Ötzi will present a mummies song fpr Austria in 2008 ( "Mummies are alive too "! ). Now that`s real horror - I thought ESC fans were music lovers ?

PS : Bobo is no singer, he is a dancing clown that`s all. Even Ukraine, Denmark and UK are better ...

PPS : Good thing about the OGAE France prediction is the 21st place for The Ark (14 pts), even if Iam still not sure if its worser than Bobo or not.

The only winner prediction I agree. According to predictions, I am afraid people are very confused this year. I feel like an outsider, because in comparison with polls and OGAE's predictions, more or less I am in line with SWITZERLAND (in fact, my top 1), but I also like very much IRELAND, LITHUANIA, ISRAEL, ICELAND and SWEDEN, very low rated in general terms.

Speaking of Xandee, I think BJ bobo will struggle to turn it into a great performance. Classy video he has though, high production values
