@ Chi Chi & Vicky L

Ahaaaa... Yes, I know he has been involved with writing songs to numerous artist. You made it sound like he had been a member of Alcazar. My bad! :)

"En dag" is my alltime favourite swedish entry in ESC (therefor A. Bard is kind of a hero in my book...) closely followed by "Det gör ont" with Lena Ph and "Satellit" (1979) with Ted Gärdestad.

BWO is great popmusic. Hope they get some more international success. I hoped they had won over Carola last year. I think "Temple of love" have reach higher than Carola. But maybe not win over Lordi.

Alexander Bard is funny and brillent man. He is a great pop song writer and producer. Army of lovers and Alcazar was both fun.
Martin has a great pop voice, almost in same league as Darren in Savage Garden.
BWOs co producer is Anders Hansson. He is good producer for swedish pop music. He is the man behind Lena Philipssons two last albums; "Det gör ont en stund på natten men inget på dan", "Jag ångrar ingenting". The team Lena Ph+Orup+Anders is really good. Just as Anders+Alexander. Lena told some new paper after the release of "I dotn regret anything"-album that next time, she lied to do a more dance/pop/disco album. Then should Alexander be a perfect partner together with Anders. And maybe some uptempo Orup songs......But time will tell....She havent said anything new about any upcoming album latley...

@Annika
Alexander Bard also wrote the lyrics to "En dag" (Tommy Nilsson 1989) and was involved in Andreas Lundstedt's "Driver dagg faller regn" (MF 1996) and "Jag saknar dig, jag saknar dig" (MF 1997). He's probably been involved in a bunch of other MF songs too.

@annika
alex was the composer of many former alcazar tracks in their first album 'casino' and partly in 'alcazarized' ...he was not a member but the branchild of alcazar indeed...i was a huge fan of army of lovers since 91 and i was always interested in all the later bard projects, that's why i know it .. ;)
my favourite alcazar tune is 'not a sinner nor a saint' from the melodifestivalen (not composed by bard!) but shame it couldnt make it to represent sweden :( now alcazar has split i think- we dont hear from them anymore...
cheers...

@ chi chi

Ehum...WHEN was A. Bard a part of Alcazar, really?

If BWO would represent Poland, they would have a decent entry for the first time in years... :)

Instead of Roxette, Ace of Base and Cardigans...

Really, I'd rather forget about Roxette altogether - and forever - and stick with the other two.

Oh and one of the songs (clip #1) sounds like Drama Queen in reverse, only slowed down a bit. :)

So BWO can become the new G :Son and compete for Poland, the Ukraine, Sweden, Denmark and the UK in 2008 :)

@R H
A few bands doing very well nationally and trying to make it internationally:
Sahara Hotnights
the Sounds
the Hives
Melody Club
and yes...
the Ark

And there are plenty more. Schlager? I don't think so. There IS a world outside of ESC you know.

Being there last night was such a joy. BWO's songs are uplifting singalong electropop and they desereve their success. Absolutely fantastic! (I couldn't believe how many people I knew in the audience too - I seem to run into Barry everywhere I go these days! LOL)

The singer's Polish...? And I was thinking what a perfect example of a good-looking Swedish male he is, lol...
Their music is not really my cup of tea, but he (the singer) is really hot... ;)

Yeah, Martin Andrzej Rolinski is polish, Maria comes from the Ukraine and the mastermind Alexander is swedish. Alexander's projects are so unswedish, and that is why I like them.

btw. what about the former music nation Sweden? Instead of Roxette, Ace of Base and Cardigans they provide us with Schlager, schlager, schlager....

Well I could stand them representing Sweden :)
Next year would be great!!

BWO are great. A pity that Sweden keeps holding to the heartless and shallow ABBA sounds. That was great in 1974, but sucks nowadays.

In "Making Your Mind Up" there wouldn't be any rivals to BWO. The question is just if big pop country UK can stand being represented by a foreign group.

BWO please try to get a place in eurovsion in the UK selection next year.. i think BWO could easily win the Uk selection!!
