Olivia and Vertigo on MTV Europe!
It has finally been announced. Olivia Lewis will appear on MTV Europe in a 30 second spot promoting Malta. This spot is built around the Vertigo Music Video and includes various night scenes from around Malta. Culture and Tourisim Minister Dr. Francis Zammit Dimech addressed a press conference earlier today announcing this promotional deal with EuroMedia Ltd., Malta's representative of MTV Europe. Dr. Zammit Dimech expressed satisfaction at the successful completion of this deal. 'I really feel that this sort of marketing can do a great deal of good to Malta and to Olivia as well'.
Grace Borg from Euromedia was similarly optimistic that such advertising on MTV could help Malta's participation to the ESC. Olivia who was also present for this press conference commented: 'I'm delighted that this is happening. If we really manage to promote Malta using Vertigo, it would be the best possible result achieved irrespective of how we do in the ESC.'
The deal was negotiated between the Tourism and Culture Ministry, Maltasong and Euromedia Ltd.
i will vote for malta for sure
love it to bits
Every year Maltese fans claim they've got the best entry ever and this year I think they are...wrong. I don't really like this song and I'm not really impressed by what I've heard from Olivia in live performances. But then again, with a really good stage performance in Helsinki she may do well.
Didint like Maltas song at all in the beginning....but now...i think im in love whit Olivia Lewis song :-)...
I really love the song...its great but i also think this song is too godd for eurovision....i dont think this will work so good on stage but i hope it will do well...but it won´t win...i´m pretty sure of that :-( too bad..
i fully support vertigo, and i amnot at all maltese...it is just great!! i hope many people are gonna feel like this when they hear it on the semis...and i am sure malta will organise a great esc, if she wins, because people there do take the contest seriously and that is good...please no more clowns and carnevals this year, no verka, please vote for some good music...Olivia and Vertigo wish you all the luck!!!
I've been vertigo addict since the first time i've heard it before the pre selection!!! i voted for olivia in the semi and on the final night and she won with 30,000 votes, which is QUITE a lot. hope she will do the same in esc 2007!!! Looking forward to see Olivia's performance today week at the water front, and btw I think on Friday we will also see it on tv. Hope we will do well, and please help us win for the first time because we deserve it!!! VERTIGGGGO
Cyprus and Malta have both a good song and that is sure, the main difference is that Comme ci Comme ca (Cyprus) is only interesting till the second/third time you hear it and then it becomes annoying....Vertigo (Malta) remains interesting, and the more you here it the more adict you become to it...I'm supporting Malta not because I'm Maltese, but I beleive in Vertigo (last year I never supported I Do...I knew that was crap) but this year I'm fully behind Vertigo....come on we can make it
what a contradiction in polls

Vertigo, berlin is with you ;-)
lovely song..one of my choose..!! good luck, greeting from TURKEY
No Blue, my fingers....Loooollllll...
Funny how people's ideas differ as to what song they like to listen to over and over again...
As for me, whatever some of you say, I'll never get tired of listening to Hard Rock Hallelujah...It's musically so much more exciting than most other ESC winners.
But yes, Malta's this year's entry is very good, and I wouldn't mind if it won...
dusart
bite ur tongue
Sick or not,can't more worst....
Hope Olivia is well, after being a bit sick and cancelling the promo tour to Romania....
to NIkolas and Jurgen: Welcome to sunny Malta
One of my favourite entries in the past Eurovision song contest was Helena's My Number One, too. It is rare that there is a song I want to listen to over and over again, and just like Nikolas here, I too get this feeling every time I listen to this song. The music and the lyrics fit together so perfectly that you actually get the illusion of vertigo when you listen to it.
I have only voted for Malta twice so far in the past, but this year I will surely give it my vote because I believe that they have never sent an entry as strong as this.
I have a night job in a bar here in Berlin, and every time it is on, we get requests to play it more often.
So congratulaions Malta, for a very good entry this year, and I want to tell you that you really deserve victory this year.
I also would like to wish Olivia Lewis all the best in Helsinki. All my friends that will be in Helsinki will be supporting you.
Jürgen
vertigo....yes!!! now there is a very nice and original song....i got addicted to it....it is the second entry of any eurovision contest that i hear everyday so many times...the other one was Helena's "My number 1"..and now this...but musically i regard vertigo even more interesting..Malta has this year my full support..i hope she will do fine.....i luv vertigo and i like Olivia Lewis very very much..GOOD LUCK!!
