Celebs come out for Cyprus
Exclusive: Evridiki & Dimitri in London coverage
At Club Palace, Evridiki and Dimitri performed to a crowd of predominantly Greek-Cypriot origin after the event was arranged and well publicised by London Greek Radio. They opened the show with a rendition of Kapion Allon before performing Comme ci comme ca and then Thelo toso na se do. (see Club palace video, part 1 below). Then Evridiki left the stage and joined the fans whilst Dimitri Korgialas performed two of his own songs, Horis esena and Mia fora before Evridiki came back to sing the duet, Piase me (see Club Palace video, part 2 below).
After leaving Club Palace, Evridiki and Dimitri made their way to London's exclusive Shadow Lounge to make history as the first Eurovision Song Contest participants to perform at the venue. The club was full to capacity with a large number of people queuing for entry. Amongst the celebrities that were there for the performance were Take That's Jason Orange, and one of the United Kingdom's most successful presenters - and host of the upcoming Eurovision Dance Contest, Graham Norton. Several magazines sent their photographers down to the venue signalling that interest in the Eurovision Song Contest is alive and growing in the United Kingdom!
Another special surprise was that The Shadow Lounge asked our very own London resident and Eurovision fan, Barry Viniker to introduce Evridiki to the capacity crowd! The performance can be seen in the exclusive video below. After the show, Evridiki met fans and talked to some of the crowd. Photos of this and more can be found in our exclusive photo gallery here.

"tairiazume", the song of Cyprus in 1992 or 1993(?) was and still is one of my favourite songs, even beyond the contest....and i think it should have taken a better placement..there is also in some cd of hers a version in french!!! i have listened to it and it was good too...i trey to be objective: if she manages to present comme ci come ca in a powerfull way, but with good moves on the stage, this cn score high...good luck to Cyprus, after being critical with this entry, i admit, it is one of my favourites...
i agree with most of you and i gladly admit: comme ci comme ca is a verygood, powerfull elctro tun..and yes, her moves have become much more solid....and yes i believe it will qualify..for the final i do not know..it will depend on the concurrence and on the starting position....but people, please, how can you not have Malta in your semi-finals favourite? Vertigo is such a strong and nice entry!!! please reconsider :-) Good luck to all our favourites, and to Malta too!! and to Cyprus of course!
I LOVED her performance at the "Shadow Lounge" and i believe that her dance moves are very improved!!I really believe that Cyprus can do it this year..It's really the best song of this year eurovision song contest!Good luck Cyprus!Good luck Evridiki!!

It will be great for me to see : Romania, France, Germany, Island and Latvia in the top 5!
I believe that things for Cyprus, are difficult this year, not because of the song, but mainly because of the early live perfomance at the night of the semi-final! I really wish Comme ci comme ca will pass to the final!
(Comme ci comme ca, is a very nice, powerful, rythmic song and ofcourse it is original comparing to many other songs that take part each year in the ESC).

I ment the sound isn't that bad. You can feel the energetic atmosphere in the club.

The videos, are not so clear to watch. But, at least the sound is that bad!
I would like to see more than 10 countries from semi-final taking part in the final. But mostly i would like to see the following ten countries :Island, Serbia, Latvia, Israel, Cyprus, The Netherlands, Slovenia, Belarus, Turkey and Poland.
