Well, someone and Paddy O'Connel is better than nobody and paddy O'Connel. Just as long as I don't have to put with his droning any more than I already do.

"The Macedonian song, Nina nyana"
"There's 36 countries this year-37-38 countries, Austria missed a year but they're participating, as broadcasters"
"The Dutch song, Anamdanda"
"That guy who flew in on the string is shaking now, and that was 5 hours ago" (oh ha, bloody ha.)
"Anne's Edge Dezan, 19 years old"(it's ANZEJ!!!! There's a thing on the z for a reason!!!)
"Song number 20 will be modga stikkla"

He is so obsolete!

Lorraine Kelly would be very good, but I think Graham Norton would be funny. The only thing that annoys me about Terry Wogan is when he talks over songs and says the voting is political (then again, everyone in the UK seems to think that).

I don't know Sarah Cawood so well, but hopefully she'll put some effort into getting names right!

William

Like Jonathan Woss would respect it and not be ironic? What about Dame Edna. She'd do a good job on describing the frocks.

What is it everyone hears in paddy o connel? He is pathetic! And that woman ruinied live and kicking, I bet she won't respect the contest.

I think interest will be higher if they Johnathen ross, but I want Danny Wallace. I have been on his website, he says he would love to do it! We need him, not some middle aged fart who is trying to be ironic. I hope BBCi gives us the oppertunity to turn them off, like you can get with football.

Excuse me while I send the bbc a complaint about paddy...

Paddy should be joined once more by Claudia Winkleman - The Liquid News double act was a work of broadcast genius

well I guess with this new woman it means at least the useless Paddy O'Connel's ramblings will take up less time... but is this really the best the BBC can do? Bring back Lorraine Kelly...

why dont they get lorraine kelly to do it, she is a huge fan and much more professional than srah cawood, cawood has trouble stringing a sentence together

Terry Wogan is a hero. ;) Seriously I like him, even though I can understand that some people find him annoying. But I think he is funny.

Terry Wogan ido not like but he is essential for UK eurovision!

i definitelly agree. Jonathan oss and graham norton tones more finer than grandpa Terry Wogan. Come on nobodies watchng Eurovision for Terry Wogan comments any more. He used to be funny but know just been ridiculous. Is time to retired!!!!!

To be quite honest I think that once Terry Wogan stops commentating, interest in the UK will deteriorate even more. I know a handful of people who only tune in for his commentry.

both graham norton and jonathon woss would be a disaster!!!

Jamie UK [12295]

It'll be Graham Norton or Johnathon Ross who take over from Terry.

Oh wogan's retiring alright... he just doesn't know it yet. :> But Paddy won't be hosting the final next year - he's not a big enough name. The smart money is on Graham Norton. You heard it here first...

I think the BBC have drafted in Sarah this year, cause Wogan is going to retire after this contest, therefore making way for Paddy in the final.

This is the BBC's 50th Eurovision entry, therefore a fitting end to Wogan's time on the show...

Oh my god, she's so irritating. Paddy O'Connel does a sterling job by himself although I liked the camp aussie woman he had as his sidekick on the post ESC show in 2005.

its still rather kool though! double commentary should be kool, maybe they are trail testing it for when Wogan goes! would be quite kool to have two commentators on the final too!
