Kenan Dogulu and Marija Serifovic in Greece

Kenan Dogulu, the Turkish representative in the Eurovision Song Contest, and Marija Serifovic who will be representing Serbia have both chosen Greece as a stopover in their promo tours this year. Kenan spent the entire day today in Athens and Marija will be arriving in Thessaloniki tomorrow.

Kenan Dogulu spent the entire day being interviewed by major Greek media. Esctoday.com met with Kenan and you can look forward to the video interview tomorrow where he tells us all about himself and his plans for the future. Tonight he will be attending a special dinner party, organised by ERT,  together with Sarbel before leaving tomorrow for Dusseldorf. Kenan will be making a brief stop in London before finally heading off for Helsinki to start with the rehearsals for the semi final.

Marija Serifovic has chosen Thessaloniki in northern Greece to meet with her Greek fans and Serbians living in the area. She will appear live on  ET3 and Star Channel among other channels, and she will also be interviewed by other major Greek media. Later in the evening, Marija will be attending  a special reception at the Serbian Consulate in Thessaloniki, where she will be meeting with esctoday.com as well.

> For example Malta has the best song this year

Malta absolutely does NOT have the best song this year. Most polls don't even have it in the top ten.

Thank you Nikolas for your nice comments :) Malta 's entry is strong but i am not sure if it is going to make it. Although Eurofans welcome strongly a victory of malta or cyprus due to the support both countries gave to eurovision song contest all those years, before ex - soviet entries appeared massively. May the best wins this year, cause last year it didn't.

I think that turkey has another good song this year, so is the serbian one.
Unfortunatelly i dislike the song from FYROM as it seems that they are repeating themselves.
Good luck to everyone and may the best wins again !!!!

@EVA P:
i agree with your last comment 100%...turkey guarantees a plade in the semis, no matter what song they send(although most of their entries are good), just because they get always 12 points from: Germany, Holland, Belgium and France because of the immigrant voting you said it very right...poor Malta concerning this and poor cyprus i would say, which has only one secure 12, that of Greece.....For example Malta has the best song this year, and still it has to work very hard to pass the semis(i hope and i think Olivia will make it)...that is unfair!!!

Reply to Emrah. Dear neigbour, may i remind you that Sertab won at the last second the first place with the votes of Cyprus and Greece.... I dont believe Turkey was mistreated by neigboured votes, me personaly voted dozen of times For Real which i still believe is the best song Turkey ever sent to this contest. As about the rest, is a good thing you have guarantee several twelves from turkish immigrants from countries like France or Holland. So one way or another, Turkey like Greece, is having some secure placement due to some exterior factors. Poor malta or countries like malta who have no ground to rely on, except a good song...

The Former Yugoslav Republic Of Macedonia, does understand SerboCroatian a little bit, but not to much, just as we can't understand their language quiet well. Because they've got their language mixed with 60% Bulgarian language and about 25% of Serbian and some words are truly Macedonian words. So the three nationas who does understand Molitva and SerboCroatian language are:
Serbia
Bosnia
Croatia
Montenegro
Because they have the similar language for 99.999999999999999999999999999 9999999999 perCeNNTTTTTTTT

Benji,
Largo diaspora (only 6 countries out of 41) and neighbor countries (only 4 including Armenia, Georgia, Greece and Bulgaria) wouldn't make everone so sure about Turkey's points. I'd be really glad if we get 12 points "in total" from our neighbors, which won't come from Armenia for sure and most probably Georgia.
So, I'm sometimes uncomfortable about people always pronouncing this neighbor thing. Please...

these comparisons get on my nerves a bit: why should one compare Molitva with Lane Moja, or with the great Leyla of last year: the only comon thing is that they are all balada..shall we now start comparing all the great ballads the eurovision song conteat has seen with each other? this is a new contest...a new year, a new luck..and every song this year competes with all the other songs of the same year and not with songs from previous contests...so get over it..MOLITVA is very good and Marija performs it wonderfully!!!! especially in serbian..the other versions are o., but not that great..

WELL I THINK CYPRUS SERBIA AND BULGARIA WILL SHARE THE HIGH GREEK VOTES. PREDICTION:
CYPRUS 12, SERBIA 10, BULGARIA 8 AND BELARUS 7.

I believe these are the only two songs about which it's 100% sure that they will qualify for the finals. Because both countries have a large diaspora and numerous neighbouring countries who will vote for them.
In addition to that, Serbia has an excellent song. I cannot say the same about the Turkish entry.

Welcome to Greece Kenan and Marija :) I prefer Kenan's song to Molitva, which I think would have benefitted from a different performer, Marija lacks charisma and stage appeal. Also, I think after the masterpieces of Lane Moje and Leijla from Zeljko, Moltiva is nothing in comparison.

@antonij L:

i never said that the Fyromian song is copy and paste...i agreed with EDIN S only on his comment that a "fyromian" version of Marijas Molitva would make me happy, nothing more..but by the way copy or not copy i find the dong of Karolina weak and below average and i find all the entries of your neighbouring countries much more better this year(with the exception of Montenegro)..and why should i be banned from here? because i state my opinion frankly, or because i do not like you using the worf "Macedonia" when referring to your country? that is wrong, not me...anyway i am not at all in the mood to talk about this again, please do not post me anything, i will not read it and i will not get back to you..my opinion is known to everyone here...

Nikolas, can you please show me exactly explain HOW the macedonian entry is a copy paste job? It has a 7/8 beat which is one of the rarest beats in the world. You can't find it in any pop songs whatsoever. In fact, it is so rare that it's restricted to the balkan region only. So please, show me this trademark Macedonian beat in another eurovision entry in the past 50 years or any pop song for that matter.

For the readers information, Nikolas never misses a chance to say fyrom even when it has nothing to do with the article or the conversation. His prejudice and racism is so transparent as he takes every chance to say negative things about us even though they are not warranted. Overall, an example of a simple person. He hasn't been banned yet though, i wonder why?

I like both the turkish and serbian songs. True, they are copy and paste jobs but hey, they work well.

@Edin S:
mate...! well what can i say??? you perfectly got my point about FYROM and the likes...very good :-)

i dare to predict with a big certainty that Kenan is not gonna win this contest....i am sure he will give us a great show and i strongly believe he will qualify, and even get a high placement, but it doesn't sound t me like the winning song, now matter how much the turkish "diaspora" and other fans of it will vote for it...but i really think noone can predict the winner, we are all hier biased towards our faavourite entries....good luck to Turkey, good luck to Marija!!

i think kenan have a small chance of winning the contest whit a perfect stage preformence...becasude the song is a littel bit too weak.

I like Molitva but i really dont think serbia will win...because if Bosnia didnt win last year and Zjelko Joksimovic didint win whit Lane Moje...which both are almost perfect ballads...serbia will definitly win this year...somethings missing in Molitva...thats why i cant see Marija winning...but i wish the well both and im almost sure will see them both in the FINAL...

Love SWEDEN
