What do you want to know?

Ask Scooch a question

As a part of a growing interest for the Eurovision Song Contest in the United Kingdom BBC, the British broadcaster is offering everyone, Brits or non-Brits the chance to submit questions for Scooch, which will be answered before they leave for Helsinki.

The band, which has recently got a record deal with Warner Bros, has been quite busy lately with the preparations for Helsinki. Their song for the Contest, Flying the flag (for you), has been recorded in German, French, Italian, Spanish, Danish and Bulgarian. This very is unusual when it comes to entries from the United Kingdom so this year Scooch is definitely doing every thing they can in order to bring the country back in the top of the Eurovision Song Contest. An effort which  seems to be matched by a growing interest among the British press and the population in general.

Do you want to know how they felt when Terry Wogan in the first place didn’t announce them as the winners of the national final? Do you want to know about their plans for Helsinki? Do you want to know what's on offer for landing? Or do you have another question? BBC is inviting everyone to submit his or her question which can be done using the form you find here.

As a part of the so-called Big4 United Kingdom is automatically qualified for the final on 12th of May 2007.

I love Scooch's song. It's fun. I doubt it will do that well but ultimately...who cares? It is not for any other European country to tell su who we should send nor are we obsessed with winning., Frankly if a country the size of the UK actually needed to win the ESC to bolster its national pride I would eb extremely worried.

Lets all just relax and enjoy the show.

I take it thats Millstreet your thinking of and you would'nt be far off, it was a horse stable ;) Well it remains to be seen , will Europe vote for a Europop number that sounds like the Tweenies or a Trad song with a mature sound? BTW I have no problem bashing Ireland, I would have liked to have gone back in time and robbed the lyrics of All Kinds of Everything and burned them .!!!! :D

there were but the one that came secong sounded like an irish ballad so 90s, and you seem to like praising ireland so much remember that you pulled out in 1983 and that you hold the record for the most shameful venue, imagine inviting the people of europe to the beautiful country of ireland and hosting the contest in a cow shed , now thats class

Just a shame you cant enter a song without gimmicks like Imani or Katrina. Come on, sexual innuendo is scraping the bottom of the barrel. Ireland,Greece,Turkey and other countires have all entered songs that reflected their culture and were proper compositions, not something that sounds like it was drummed up in five minutes on the back of a cornflakes box by a OAP with hearing impairment! As for being boring, it won three times in a row.... surley you must agree Garry a lot of the songs in the MYMU were good and a lot better than this tripe !

Even though England won 6-7 times in the past
does not mean that they actually deserved it to win..

If the UK ever wants to learn a thing or two they should take a leaf out of our book, after all, winning seven times and all that..... ;)

True actually it does sound like that now that you say it. But it can still stand by itself, the song now has a better ending and Kathy's voice stands well through the song. ;)

@ Peter Brodey

I have heards our entry, while not a fantastic song, it does.nt sell out to commercialisim like scooch have done. We kept our song in line with our heritage, what has Scooch done?

Just to say again, in case anyone misreads what I have said, this is all light hearted conversation, arguing and banter. I know I am a moan ;)

David Allan [13115]

Please stop moaning!

I really believe that Scooch will do really well in Helsinki and the song will be a huge party hit all over Europe this summer.

Best of luck Scooch.

Anti Bloc Voting -

Have you heard your own entry before you call ours drivel.
I thought ours was all bout the different countries, but yours is specifically about Eurovision "The Curtain has been Raised. And Europe's All One Stage".

Anti Bloc Voting? Ireland have given UK 8 points for the last 3 years. And we gave you 7points in 2006, 2004, 12 in the 2005 semifinal (when you didn't qualify). Isn't that Bloc Voting?

I think Scooch don't have a chance to win, but I do not feel a last place. I think midway would be a good position.

I don't have to hear all versions !!! I don't like it at all !! Sorry UK 0 points !!

Mark Eastwood - no, the camp and cheesy image is the image of non ESC fans and ESC haters - we fans should not prove them right and support quality, fighting this worng and outdating image of the ESC.

@ Gary : Lol - funny question, best britsh humor ;)
