Shame on TVE!you know what happened?well, this year, after last one's cataclism with Las ketchup, they tried to make us happy by taking Spanish ESC entry selection more seriously. They've realised that I LOVE YOU MI VIDA is one of the favourites in all polls, so they've chickened out thinking that ESC 2008 could take place in Madrid, so what can they do? Well, not to promote D'Nash at all throughout Europe. All contestants are travelling abroad but ours! They're just scared we can win.
However, i read that they're suggesting that upcoming ESC winners' countries won't have to organize the ESC the following year. Im pretty sure if that happens, TVE will carry out an astonishing Spanish ESC entry selection plus a decent promotion, cause they'll be eager to win!
For god''s sake, we all Spaniards pay TVE, make us be at the same level than any other European country....

I wonder why TVE hasn't started to play the preview clips to this year's song. They did it about 2 weeks before the contest was on last year.

I hope they do it soon!!

Regards from Venezuela,

Javier.-

I totally agree with you Mark. By the way, does anyone know if there is any pub in London that will be showing the semifinal on big screen? Why do British eurofans appear to be so disorganised? Any info, please let me know! My friends and I are desperate to watch the semifinal together in some pub

Nice to see that Spanish TV still thinks the ESC is a quality product and is willing to dedicate airtime to promoting the event. A bit more TV coverage in the UK might help drum up some mainstream support for the ESC. These days for most Brits, the Eurovision is just 'Making Your Mind Up' and the Final and then it's gone.

Growing up in the 80s and 90s I always though how sad it was that if you heard a song you liked on the night, you'd probably never hear it again. I miss the BBC sunday afternoon preview shows, gave you more of a chance to get to know the acts.

It's unfortunate that ESC artists don't generally chart in the UK, or even get radio airplay. Everyone here know's what a wealth of talent there has been in the ESC over the years. They deserve a bit more respect from one of the so-called 'Big Four'.

Garry,
I know - but I'm of the 80's generation that grew up on the Sunday afternoon tv previews

> adrain you have a computer they are easily

Have you looked at any of the previews on the BBC website? The quality is absolute crap - 256 x 144 video with 16 kbit monaural sound. Anything else would be better.

Spanish TV offers a good coverage of ESC. Good idea and I hope that the next year make Mision Eurovision 2. In my perfil, you can enter to eurocronicas de danielo. Thanks.

Thank god for TVE - they do the job that the BBC should do in showing the previews. Only place us in the UK can see them.
