Marija's concert in Belgrade and Greek schedule

Marija Serifovic, this year's Eurovision Song Contest winner, will be giving a concert on June 8th in Kula Nebojša, Belgrade's fortress. Marija will be accompanied by Dado Topic, Karolina, Marija Sestic and D'Nash. On the next day Marija will fly to Greece, a country she has developed close relationships with lately - her boyfriend lives there.

An estimated audience of 1000 Serbs is expected to attend Marija Serifovic's concert tomorrow, June 8 at 21.00, at the Kula Nebojša in Belgrade. All the invited artists have accepted Marija's invitation and she will be joined on stage by this year's Croatian representative Dado Topic, Karolina- who represented FYR Macedonia and Marija Sestic who represented Bosnia & Herzegovina. Western Europe will be represented by the Spanish boyband D'Nash. Many members of the Serbian political world are also expected to attend the concert, together with guests from the Greek Embassy. A VIP party will follow at the Jezero club.

The next day, Marija flies to Thessaloniki where she will be a special guest at the MODA Fashion Show and she will meet with the local Prefect Mr Psomiadis. According to her International Relationships manager, Marija plans to visit Thessaloniki quite often and is currently looking for an apartment in the city. Her better half, Panayiotis, lives there and she hopes to be able to spend more time with him. On Tuesday morning, Marija will be in Athens for a shoot at Antenna (ANT1) studios for a show on the popular Greek channel. Just before flying back home, Marija will be meeting her fans at a lunch organised by OGAE Greece (the article will be updated with more details as soon as they are available).

Esctoday.com have also been informed that Marija will give a concert for her Greek fans in late July. Stay tuned for more details!

Garry

'Prayer' has only two of the required syllables for the job. "Destiny" has the necessary three. Unfortunately, the rest of the English text is rubbish.

If you translate the Serbian version to English, you simply can't sing those lyrics.
It would be like, for example, if you wanted Shiri Maymon sing Hasheket shenish'ar on English, which means The silence that remains... NO SENSE...

The concert was INCREDIBLE!!!

D'NASH Performed unbelieveably gr8!

And Karolina.... She was perfect!

Dado was OK.

Marija was just amazing... The second song she performed was dull, but never mind :D

And plus, Montenegrin participant was there too... Stevan Faddy...

he was :S

So and so...

MARIJA WAS AMAZING, of course...

Sometimes the lyrics are not literally translated, but rather just modified in another language for the sake of rhyming and the melody.

In my opinion, the worst ESC winner was Tanel Padar and his "Everybody" that sounded like an intro for an american humorous TV series: dumb, cheap and cheezy.Really, it couldn't be worse.

Marija as excellent and so was her song.Along with Elena Paparizou, Ruslana and Sertab Erener, she is my favorite winner so far

@ Chirrilona
This is just another try to make Marija a bad person

@ Asta Gusta Busta Husta & Musta
Molitva is a great song! Only 4 countries didn't vote for us, so we're the clear winners! And by my opinion, Lordi were the worst winners ever!

@ Garry Chelsea
Molitva means Prayer in English

Marija is having her concert in Belgrade at this moment, unfortunately I couldn't go, but I'm watching over TV. About 5,000 people are there singing every song with Marija. Dado Topic, Marija Sestic, Karolina Goceva and D'Nash were there, and were all great!

is she is gay i hope she comes out and shows some people that being gay is a great thing, some people on here from her own people have shown how much they dislike gays! so i think that she is better to keep it a secret as it seems gay rights in her homeland are not as advanced as in the rest of europe

I have read that at Russian Serebro web site, Lena Temnikova says that Maria at one of the partys said to her is she want to dance with her and later come to her hotel room. Lena says that she refused all the Maria's invitationes. This story is comfirmed by other two girls of group.

WELL, IF SHE HAS THE GUTS TO GO ON STAGE WITH A BUNCH OF SEXY GIRLS AND LOOK LIKE A TRUCK DRIVER WITH HER HAND IN THE POCKET IM SURE SHE HAS THE GUTS TO AKNOWLEDGE WHO SHE REALLY IS !
AND I REALLY LIKE HER AND HER SONG!
SO, DONT THINK IM A HATER!

Well I don't care whom she spends her time with, and it is none of our business.

However if she has a girlfriend and states for the press that she has a boyfriend, she shouldn't be judged, either. Each person comes out at their own pace.Especially in Serbia coming out would mean suicide for her career, if it wouldn't literally kill her, because in this country such things still do happen, believe it or not.Belgrade had a Gay pride in 2001 that ended up in blood and violence, while the police just stood and watched homophobes beating up the demonstrants.

If she won the contest also because of her lesbian performance, it doesn't mean that Serbia had become any more liberal in these matters. If she decided to stay in the closet, she must have a good reason - it is her right and maybe necessity for now.Heterosexual behavior doesn't have to equal sexual orientation at all.My guts are telling me that she likes women, and so far I was never wrong about "detecting" gay people, who were less obvious than her.

But then again, who are we to judge?Marija is a magnificent singer and let her live and sing the way she wants!

COME OUT OF THE CLOSET ALREADY!!!!
WE'RE NOT STUPID !!!!
AND ITS OK TO BE GAY !!!!!
(WELL, MAYBE NOT IN SERBIA !!!!)
THIS IS 2007! ENOUGH WITH THE "HIDE & SEEK" ALREADY !!!

I thought her performance was pritty saphic anyway regardles of her sexuality , as she did her reprise on the night I thought she was going to go in for a Kiss at the end of the song .

Regardles of everything that has been written about her I found the song to be brilliant , I have not heard it n English as yet but we in the west voted stronly for the song not for the womens sexuality .

"On the next day Marija will fly to Greece, a country she has developed close relationships with lately - her boyfriend lives there."
I guess that does away with the lesbian rumours... but she may be bisexual, so there's still hope for you ladies out there!

Maybe she has a girfriend who plays the boyfriend role!!!!!! If Marija is the passive one....he he he, I cannot imagine her partner!!!!!!
Nevertheless..... we should NOT care about her private life,
does she care about our's?
She was a worthy winner with a nice euro-ballad. Full stop.
Most of Europe agreed on that....... it was a pretty clear victory..... and made all of Serbia and the greek island of Lesbos happy!!!!!! HVALA MARIJA! Sappho and her girls salute you!

well maybe she is simply bisexual...thats allowed people!
And even if she does have a bf then good for her, after its her life and let her live it the way she wants
I am sure that you wouldnt be pleased if someone was always sticking their nose in you private life...so just leave her alone!

@ jaen flores

I totally agree with you that there is nothing wrong with being gay. But people (even ''well respected" journalists) saying you're gay doesn't necessarily make you gay. So I would be a little more careful passing judgement.
