Brussels and Amsterdam in October
Anna Vissi in Belgium and the Netherlands
As our partner site Belgovision.com reports, Greek diaspora and local fans will have the opportunity to see Anna Vissi live in Amsterdam on October 6th. The next day, Anna will perform at the Royal Circus in Brussels. Tickets for the Belgian show cost €37, €42 and €47 and can be booked online here.
More details on the Dutch show will be announced in due time.

Me too George. I did not know so much about her when I went to the concert, but was amazed!! She can do crazy things with her voice and the musicians she works with are amazing 
Jabushka.... Savina Yiannatou is an amazing singer... I am glad you had the chance to see her in concert!
A friend of mine saw her London show (greek friend) and said you were hard pushed to hear anyone speaking in English in the audience. Infact I went to see Savina Yiannatou in London and was one of only 10% non Greek/cypriot audience members and this concert was part of a major international jazz festival.
But hey! I think it is great she can fill these large venues and has the oppertunity to play them as most stars dont. whether the venue is filled with her fellow countrypeople makes no diff really.

Also her fan clubs say that she will continue her tour in countries like Sweden and Germany as well as the balkans

Greekboy Sorry I devalued Anna! ......especially comparing her to Madonna or Kylie.....Anna is AS FAMOUS AS.....Madonna....AS FAMOUS AS..... KYLIE.....(we are catapelting the meaning of the word FAMOUS here!). Anna is famous amongst greeks world-wide, and MAYBE some of their non-greek friends who happen to like her songs...... Anna came to Australia 6-7 years ago , appeared on the "good morning Australia" housemaids' TV show
and I guarrantee , none of the Aussie presenters knew anything about her....they might now, I do not know as I left 6 years ago,
but yes there ARE so many Greeks in the US of A , 3 mil? they would fill any venue for months! Same in Oz! 300.000 greekborn PLUS their offsprings in Aussieland make more than 700.000 people who really know ANNA, and fill any venue for weeks!
South Africa has about 80.000 greeks? they would fill any venue for days!
Egypt and Cairo.... HMMMMM.... I bet you forgot there is a strong greek community in Egypt mostly in Alexandria, but I am sure if Anna went to Cairo for a day, they would go to see her!
As for London..... hurrah! There are 50.000 Cypriots living there? plus the greek students (largest group of foreign students studying in the UK, are the greeks, about 22.000 students, they are more than the Chinese for f.ck sake) they all would fill any venue(logical size- not an Olympic stadium!)
Try Timbouktou or Kathmandhu or even Banda Aceh!!!!! people there MIGHT know Madonna or Kylie.... our Lovely Anna Sorry Nah!

Anna Sold out her shows in the US and Australia earlier this year, and has been there many times. And if you say there are alot of Greeks there, keep in mind she also sold out her South African and Cairo shows. (As well as London after Eurovision)
If Anna sings, people will come.

"mono i agapi" -Cyprus 1982- was the best of Anna's entries.
Anna is NOT famous..... people..... FAMOUS is MADONNA, or maybe even KYLIE.... but NOT Anna! Ok she is known in Greece, Cyprus, maybe around the Balkans?!, and she is famous in the hearts of esc fans, but the world has 8 billion people, and most do not even know there is a Eurovision song contest happening!
Good on her though! She still looks great, sings fairly well, and as a real "star" of her corner of the globe, she does evolve with music, and I think she will be singing to us until the very end!
Love ya Anna..... no matter how small-a-star, its brightness could be lasting for ages!

I liked her song a lot, but her performance in Athens was much lower than what I expected, without voice and without strengh. 9th position is good, although a 7th from Sarbel this year, higher than her, is embarrasing.

Anna Vissi was fantastic in 2006 and so was the song...she has class and class is lacking in ESC.
When you keep a survey and ask people on the street who Anna Vissi is you will get a 100% score that nobody knows who she is. Just like asking people in Thessasaloniki who Guus Meeuwis is.

How can you be so sure that nobody in the Netherlands knows her? You held a public survey on the streets or something?
I think the victory in 2006 belongs to Anna Vissi and Greece, Greece was once again robbed!

I heard she will be in Bulgaria soon too. And is planning more European tour stuff. She just got back from her North American and Australian Tours as well as South Africa and Egypt.
Word is that she will do concerts in Israel too soon.
ANNA * VISSI is "Everything" to Greece because she is the ultimate Greek singing *STAR*. Her amazing talent brought her tremendous success over the years, while her ageless beauty is an added bonus.
When Anna * Vissi performs LIVE! it is a great opportunity to experience what a real concert should be like since she entertains with her wonderful songs, the crowd sings along and an encore is never, ever enough ... Her incredible charisma gives her a unique rapport with her audience.

She's absolutely the best singer ever representing Greece, but I don't think she is known by people outside Greece and Cyprus, except by ESC fans and diasporas.
Why always that negativity Jan? I bet a lot of people don't know Chemical Brothers or Daft Punk, yet these groups play also in big sold out venues in the Netherlands. Even Greek and contest-fans are a large fanbase, so there will probably be no problem to sell lots of tickets.
Nobody, apart from ESC fans and Greeks, know her here.
