Dulce Pontes in concert in Spain
O Coração Tem Três Portas is the name of the brand new album of Dulce Pontes. The Portuguese artist returns to fado and traditional folklore in her latest CD, after having explored other musical genres in the meantime.
Jerez de la Frontera will have the honour of hosting Dulce next August 23rd. This Andalusian town is celebrating its Summer festival Noches de Bohemia en el Alcázar. Other special guests that have performed in it include Spanish singer-songwriter Luis Eduardo Aute and Israeli star Noa.
Dulce Pontes participated at the 1991 Eurovision Song Contest, which took place in Rome. Dulce, with the song Lusitana paixão, was awarded 62 points and reached the eighth position in the final scoreboard, one of the highest placings ever achieved by Portugal.

Portuguese Eurovision fans should start a petition to have DULCE PONTES, MARIZA or ROSA NEGRA represent them at ESC with a powerful fado-ballad on the lines of Rosa Negra's "Fado Ladino", Mariza's "Cavaleiro Monge" or the sublime "Cancao do Mar".
This is the only way I see for Portugal to gain a very HIGH result at Eurovision...and maybe WIN IT TOO!
Fado music is sooo beautiful- I would love to see traditional Portuguese music at ESC!!!
Dulces Pontes is a great singer, I love her ESC- entry. I'm sure her new album will be a great success...
