[UPD] Gisela to represent Andorra in 2008?
Gisela participated in the first season of the Spanish talent show Operacion Triunfo. Rosa won that edition and went on to represent Spain in the 2002 Eurovision Song Contest in Tallinn, with five of her fellow candidates from Opercaion Triunfo as backing vocalists on stage. One of them was Gisela, who also won the 2003 Viña del Mar festival in Chile, so the singer has some song festival experience. Gisela was born in the province of Barcelona and speaks fluent Catalan.
According to the paper, RTVA approached Filmax Music record company and asked for a possible artist from the label to represent Andorra in Belgrade. Filmax Music proposed Gisela. According to the report, Gisela's proposed song for the Song Contest will be sung mostly in English with a few phrases in Catalan.
Now it remains to be seen if RTVA will actually choose Gisela to be their representative. esctoday.com expects to publish more information in the next days.

She would be a very great option for Andorra and for Spain.
Gisela is for sure a talented girl, i wish she represented Andorra the next year, i love her sweet voice,and her performances look so lovely,im sure she would get to the final (if the song is the appropiated), btw is great having OT singers representing Spain or Andorra again, mainly cuz since they are not performing for eurovision Spain gets crap positions, so i hope Gisela will give luck to Andorra the next year if she gets to win ..at least qualiying to the final would be enough for all Andorrians i guess.

Of course you saw her at the preselection for 2007, but she acted as a guest just to present one of the songs, "Tu voz se apagará". She was not actually one of the contestants to choose from.
It would be great if Gisela went to Belgrade. I've always liked her.
very little country but very professional music! for me Andorra it is a symbol of professionalism
Gisela is an excellent singer and a better person. I learned English with her at the same school in Barcelona, 8 years ago. At that time, she participated in some TV adverts and she shared with the people her enthusiam and experiences. Unfortunately, since she entered in Operacion Triunfo in 2001, Gisela totallly disapeared of our lives.
I agree with most people here, it is about time for Andorra to qualify, especially Marian Van de Wal would have deserved it with her ethno-song!
Given that Gisela will get a great song, Andorra will finally make it, hopefully... I don't want to be naive but Andorra was 12th in the semi this year... so with two semis they might make it?!
But besides Andorra, Iceland, Portugal and a bunch of other countries should qualify as well- it's a shame how they have been treated. I don't expect a miracle, but at least four "unusual" countries in the final wouldn't be too much to ask for.
Good luck Andorra! You totally deserved to go through in 2007, hopefully the new 2 semi-final format will give you guys more luck! IIRC Andorra is the country that has participated the most times without ever getting through to the final. Hopefully this will all change next year!
ive really liked all of the Andorran entries and im sure i will like an entry from Gisela if she does represent Andorra. I thought she was awesome singing Tu voz se apagara, better than some of the other contestants.
hmmm well at least there will be some phrases in Catalan. i like that effort.
singer Liel who represent Switzerland in 2006 with six4one is attending to have a new international album which will be called "tomorrows dream" under the lable of Warner Brothers international. one of the songs from this album is now out and the name of it is "Save your self"
she was also asked if she will do Eurovision again and she said no.
it is a very big 4 pages interview with her in the biggest magazine of Israel "Laisha" (for the woman).

im going to vote for andorra 30 times..
im really angry becouse they didnt enter in final last year..

Andorra would have really deserved to go to the finals twice, the first time with Marian van de Wal, the second time with Anonymous...
It's sad but I think that Gisela can give everything on stage and that the song can be a masterpiece, but they won't be able to end up higher than the Eastern countries in the finals...
Anyway... I think it's also sad that they turn to English, on the other hand one can understand it... Nevertheless, Catalan remains one of the most beautiful languages which I've heard in the Contest...
It would be amazing if it was true - she should take part with a song like " Tengo fe ", or a song by Miguel Linde, something like " Tu voz se apagara ", her performance at the spanish NF was fab. ,she would have done better than NASH for sure. Hope the news will be confirmed asap.
Maybe they should change their country's name to Former Part of the Kingdom of Catalonia. That way they can send the biggest crap and qualify anyway.
Does anybody remember at the final this year the people holding up a sign saying 'Where is Andorra?'
They were the real fans of the night, not like those feautered in that film.

So happy to see that a popular singer still wants to represent Andorra, after the riddicoulus elimination this year. I'll hope for Gisela in the final, even if her song is dreadful.

They may try but I don't belive that Annonymous' success had anything to do with their partly english lyrics. It was by far the most modern song Andorra has ever sent, so I think that's why they achieved a relatively good score. Portugal had very low results in 2005 and 2006 with songs sung half in English, in 2007 they did much better with a text which contained only very few translated parts. Anyway, good luck to Andorra, hope you'll never withdraw!

Good choice- I recognize her from singing "Tu voz se apagara" in the Spanish selection of 2007.
Andorra sing three times purely in Catalan and come bottom of the pile each time. They sing half-half and miss out on the final by a few points. Obviously, they feel their chances are better if they sing (mostly) in English. Who are we to disagree?

She will do great. But please she should choose an latino or an r&b song...and not an foolish pop song. 
But why in English??? Andorra has always been so proud of singing in Catalan! Anonymous had "a few phrases in English", and now we've already come to "a few phrases in Catalan"?!?! What a pity!!!
